The action folded around to Nicholas Dixon in the small blind who moved all in for 319,000. Seth Davies then quickly called from the big blind.
Davies:
Dixon:
Both players had told each other that they went all in after only looking down at an ace. When Dixon revealed his jack and saw he was infront he jumped from his chair and high-fived his rail in delight.
Unfortunately, the excitement wouldn't last long as the board ran out to see Davies spike a four on the flop, taking down the pot with a pair, sending a gracious Dixon to the rail to collect his highest prize to date.
Marc MacDonnell raised to 53,000 from the hijack and was called by Koray Aldemir and Shurane Vijayaram in the blinds.
The flop came down and all three players checked.
The turn brought the and Aldemir sat motionless for a few minutes before betting out 145,000. Vijayaram folded shortly after as the decision fell on MacDonnell. He took almost a minute to make the call.
The completed the board and once again Aldemir tanked for a minute then cut out a bet totalling 195,000. MacDonnell sat in his seat agonising over his decision before reluctantly calling.
Aldemir then tabled for trip nines and took down the large pot after MacDonnell mucked his hand.
From first position, Koray Aldemir raised to 65,000. His neighbor Shurane Vijayaram three-bet to 165,000 and Aldemir called once action had folded to him.
Aldemir check-called 150,000 on the flop before both players checked the on the turn. The river had Aldemir bet 300,000 and Vijayaram called after some time in the tank.
Aldemir showed and Vijayaram mucked. Chip counts were hard to tell from the rail, so the ones underneath are estimates:
Jeff Rossiter raised to 75,000 from the button and was called by David Olson in the big blind.
The flop came and Olson check-called a continuation bet totalling 45,000.
Both players checked the on the turn before the completed the board.
Olson thought for a minute then slid out a bet of 125,000. Rossiter snap called and watched as Olson tabled for two pair. Rossiter then turned over his for a straight and took down the pot.
It folded around to Haoran Zhang in the small blind and he moved all in for 480,000. Fedor Holz woke up with queens in the big blind and called it off to put Zhang at risk.
Zhang:
Holz:
Zhang undoubtedly liked the flop where he picked up a flush draw, but failing to find a heart or a king on the turn or river he departed in 16th place.
Scott Eskenazi was the next to fall after he lost a flip to Tobias Hausen.
Fedor Holz opened to the action with a button raise to 70,000 before Eskenazi three-bet jammed for 480,000 from the small blind. Hausen made the call in the big blind and with Holz out of the way they tabled their cards.
Eskenazi:
Hausen:
The run out failed to help Eskenazi and he was sent packing in 15th place.
Jeff Rossiter raised to 60,000 from the cutoff before David Olson moved all in for 295,000 from the small blind. Rossiter snap-called after Mustapha Kanit folded his big blind.
Olson:
Rossiter:
The board ran out to see Olson improve to a set of fives on the turn and fade a three on the river to take down the pot and double to over 600,000 in chips
Over on the feature table, a huge hand developed between Nino Marotta and Shurane Vijayaram that resulted in Marotta’s unceremonious exit.
We caught the action on the turn but according to the feature table camera crew, betting remained fairly light preflop and on the flop with all the chips going in on the turn.
On a board reading Marotta and Vijayaram became embroiled in a raising war with Vijayaram four-bet jamming all in and Marotta making the call.
Shurane Vijayaram:
Nino Marotta:
While he may have had the best starting hand in hold’em a devastated looking Marotta found himself drawing to the deck's two remaining aces against Vijayaram’s turned gutshot straight.
However, the river brought Marotta no help and he headed for the rail.
