Fast, Faster, Heads Up

Nível 25 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante

Many smaller pots without showdown went towards Michael Dix and he has regained the lead over Brendon Rubie.

Rubie opened to 125,000 and Dix called. On the flop {J-Spades}{8-Spades}{2-Spades}, both players checked. Dix then check-called for 125,000 before leading the {10-Spades} river for 220,000. Rubie folded and also let go the next hand to a three-bet worth 350,000.

Let's Flip it Around Again

Nível 25 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante

After a three-bet pot with Michael Dix as initial raiser, Brendon Rubie continued on the flop {10-Spades}{7-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and Dix moved all in. Rubie tossed in a yellow T-5,000 chip for the call and was at risk of elimination:

Rubie: {A-Spades}{9-Spades}
Dix: {K-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}

Neither the {A-Clubs} turn nor the {Q-Diamonds} river brought an end to this event and Rubie doubled back into the lead.

Dix Dominates!

Nível 25 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante

Brendon Rubie made it 125,000 and Michael Dix bumped it up to 325,000.

Rubie four-bet shoved and Dix called with the {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}. Dix was dominating Rubie's {a-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} with his tournament life on the line and held through the {8-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{8-Diamonds} board to double up into the lead.

Rubie Back in Charge

Nível 25 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante

Brendon Rubie took down four hands in a row, albeit just one had a showdown. Michael Dix had called a raise to 125,000 by Rubie and the duo checked through the {Q-Hearts}{J-Spades}{7-Hearts} flop. On the {5-Diamonds} turn, Dix check-called a bet of 125,000 before the {10-Diamonds} river once again saw no betting action. Rubie showed {J-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and that was enough to win the pot.

Soon after, Dix made it 130,000 to go and Rubie three-bet to 335,000. After the call of his opponent, Rubie fired the {9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop for 340,000 and that enforced a fold from Dix.

Back To Even

Nível 25 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante

Brendon Rubie made it 125,000 and Michael Dix defended. The flop came down {a-Spades}{5-Hearts}{8-Clubs} and Dix check-called another 125,000.

On the {8-Clubs} turn, Dix checked and Rubie bet 275,000. Once again, Dix called and checked the {q-Spades} river. Rubie sent in a big 540,000-chip bet and Dix dumped his hand, allowing Rubie to draw even in the match.

Rubie Climbing Back

Nível 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

With many small pots and three showdowns, Brendon Rubie has increased his stack slightly again to narrowly close the gap to Michael Dix. Rubie once had {Q-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for middle pair paid off for 80,000 on the river and another small pot saw him make two pair on turn and river with the {4-Spades}{2-Spades} without any further bets.

Then, Dix raised to 80,000 and Rubie called. On the {K-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop, Rubie check-called a bet of 80,000 and did so again for 180,000 on the {Q-Spades} turn. Both players checked the {10-Clubs} river and Dix showed king-queen only for Rubie to claim the pot with {A-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}.

The last big pot of the level ended in a raising war and split pot. Rubie had min-raised and Dix called before both checked the {A-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop and the {Q-Diamonds} turn. On the {3-Spades} river, Dix bet 80,000, Rubie made it 320,000 and then called once Dix squeezed to 820,000. Both players had made a straight with {7-Clubs}{4-Clubs} (Rubie) respectively {K-Hearts}{4-Spades} (Dix).

Michael Dix

Michael Dix made it 80,000 and Brendon Rubie three-bet to 215,000.

Dix called and checked the {10-Hearts}{2-Spades}{5-Hearts} flop. Rubie bet 190,000 and Dix called. Both checked the {8-Diamonds} turn, but when Rubie also checked the {5-Diamonds} river, Dix fired out a bet of 325,000.

Rubie tanked, called and mucked when Dix turned over the {5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}, having made trip fives.

Even in Chips

Nível 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Michael Dix opened to 80,000 and Brendon Rubie called. On the flop {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}, Rubie check-called a bet of 80,000 and did so again for 135,000 on the {4-Clubs} turn before they checked down the {K-Clubs} river. Dix showed {A-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and the ace was good enough.

Rubie raised the next hand to 80,000 and Dix called. The board {J-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{9-Clubs} was checked down and Rubie claimed the pot with {A-Clubs}{4-Spades}.

Dix opened to 80,000 and then folded to a three-bet to 240,000.

Rubie limped in, Dix then check-raised the flop {10-Clubs}{9-Spades}{6-Hearts} from 50,000 to 100,000 with Rubie tossing in the extra chips. On the {4-Clubs} turn, Dix's bet of 225,000 scooped the pot uncontested.

Two hands later, Rubie min-raised to 80,000 and Dix called. The flop {K-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{3-Spades} was led by Dix for 80,000 and Rubie called before checking through the {2-Spades} turn. Another bet by Dix for 80,000 on the {2-Hearts} river secured the pot without showdown.

While most of the hands went towards his opponent, Rubie then claimed back ground when flat-calling a raise to 80,000. The flop {7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} was checked through before Dix bet 80,000 on both the {4-Spades} turn and {4-Diamonds} river with the {A-Clubs}{3-Hearts}. Rubie flatted both times with {3-Clubs}{3-Spades} and won the pot.

Dix Strikes First

Nível 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Brendon Rubie made it 80,000 and Michael Dix defended. The flop fell {5-Hearts}{j-Spades}{3-Spades} and Dix check-called another 80,000 from Rubie.

The turn brought the {7-Diamonds} and after a Dix check, Rubie bet 155,000. Dix check-raised to 455,000 total and Rubie called. They both checked the {a-Clubs} river and Dix showed the {5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} two pair.

It was good, as Rubie mucked and they ended the hand just about even in chips.
