Stephensen Among Early Eliminations

Nível 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Felix Stephensen
Felix Stephensen

Tatjana Zizic doubled up with {A-}{K-} against the {A-}{Q-} of former November Niner Felix Stephensen and then the Norwegian three-bet jammed into the raise of Travis Rawlins with pocket threes. Rawlins snap-called with pocket tens and that's all she wrote.

Stephensen left his chair with a dry smile and said "that wasn't the best start."

Short Stack Ninja

Nível 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Stevan Chew was among the shortest stacks when coming back and the Aussie has since more than doubled up. He remains under immediate pressure though, but already survived around 25 opponents that busted within the first half hour. A list of bustouts will be available shortly.

At the same table, Matt Salsberg has also more than doubled up as well.

Scagnetti in Charge

Nível 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Ferench Riech has dropped quite some chips and is no longer the overall leader. Dean Blatt has more chips by now and the new biggest stack belongs to Adriano Scagnetti. The latter knocked out Julius Colman with pocket aces versus pocket jacks and skyrocketed to more than a quarter million in chips.

Broadway for Rastogi

Nível 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Jessica Liang tripled up early on and then lost the chips again to remain where she started at. Gerald Karlic mentioned that "this is the broadway table" and just now, Rahul Rastogi did so against Sargon Zindo. Zindo had turned top set but Rastogi made the straight and called a bet of 15,600 on the board {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{J-Hearts} with {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}.

"This is Gonna Make PokerNews"

Nível 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Van Marcus joked "this is gonna make PokerNews" once the hand was over and Sammy Lucisano had doubled up in very fortunate fashion, as almost everybody could hear from his celebration. Lucisano had gotten his stack in with {A-Spades}{K-Clubs} but picked the worst possible timing to do so, Qiang Fu snapped him off with the {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}.

However, lady luck smiled on Lucisano and brought the board {10-Spades}{J-Spades}{7-Clubs}{5-Spades}{2-Spades} for a four-card flush.

Also on the up: Stevan Chew, who doubled up again.

Correa Gets Lucky

Nível 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Neil Correa had a huge kicker problem with his {A-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}, as he got called by an opponent with the {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}. The board ran out {7-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and the very last community card saved Correa from changing his plans for the rest of the day.

Lee On The Climb

Nível 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Hon Cheong Lee started the day with 55,000, but has doubled up twice to a spot among the leaders heading into Level 14.

First he picked up two kings, filled up and got paid. The he defended his big blind against a raise with the {8-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}, leading into a {7-}{3-}{2-} rainbow flop. He got called and picked up an open-ender on the {10-} turn.

Another Lee bet got called, and when the river came the straight completing {j-}, Lee shipped. His opponent called off and mucked, leaving Lee with over 250,000 now.
