An interesting scenario just played out of table 27 involving Tony Bloom and Lita Hsu.

They were heads up and at the turn of a board. Hsu checked and Bloom said he announced all in but put a 5k chips in before his two stacks of smaller denomination chips. The dealer and the rest of table didn't hear the verbal declaration so the dealer ruled only the 5k chip would count.

The river came as the and Hsu set Bloom in for his last 28,300. Bloom smiled, shrugged and folded.

Tony Bloom, who won this event back in 2004, shoved his last 28,700 all in from middle position and received a call from Alexander Lynskey in the cutoff. The button and blinds all folded and Bloom discovered the bad news.

Jake Balsiger, who finished third in this very event last year, began the day on a short stack of 35,400. The former World Series of Poker October Niner managed to run that up to a formidable stack, but his comeback came crashing down courtesy of Singapore's Don Mishra.

There was around 90,000 already in the pot and a board reading when a back-and-forth raising war resulted in Balsiger getting his last 100,000 or so all in and being called by Mishra.
