Oleksii Shchukin moved all in for his last 100,000 from the small blind and Babak Shahrtash put him at risk in the hijack.
Oleksii Shchukin: A♥K♦
Babak Shahrtash: K♠Q♦
"Come on, baby. Lady of the night," Shahrtash implored heading to the flop, which came Q♥8♠3♣ to give him top pair. "There it is. Lady of the night," he added as the board ran out 6♥10♥ to send Shchukin to the rail.
Tarmo Tammel and Adrian Teodorescu went heads-up to the turn on a board of 4♦4♣A♣Q♣ with around 150,000 in pot when Teodorescu put in his last 25,000 from the big blind.
He showed J♣5♣ for a flush, but Tammel turned over K♣4♣ for the nut flush and Teodorescu was already drawing dead. "Only a king," Teodorescu lamented as the K♠ fell on the river to send him to the rail.
Carlos Diaz bet 30,000 from the button on a flop of 10♥6♣7♦ and Yarin Matan raised to 85,000 in the big blind. Diaz called and they saw the Q♣ fall on the turn.
Matan then bet 120,000 and Diaz again called. The river was the K♦ and Matan slowed down and checked. Diaz then fired out 250,000 and Matan quickly folded.
Justinas Fiseris raised to 45,000 on the button, Francisco Togores moved all in for 335,000 in the small blind, and Fiseris mucked. "You're good," Togores said even before they turned over their cards.
Francisco Togores: A♠5♣
Justinas Fiseris: A♥J♠
Togores was dominated as the 6♦6♠3♦ flop left open the possibility of a chop, but he missed the 7♠ turn and J♣ river as Fiseris ended up with two pair to send the start-of-day chip leader to the rail.
Babak Shahrtash raised to 35,000 under the gun and Tarmo Tammel three-bet to 75,000 in early position. Jorge Alvarez then four-bet to 200,000 in the small blind.
Shahrtash folded, but Tammel moved all in for 250,000 and Alvarez snap-called.
Tarmo Tammel: K♦K♠
Jorge Alvarez: A♥Q♥
Alvarez hit top pair on the Q♣9♥5♦ flop, while the K♥ turn gave Tammel a set and Alvarez a flush draw going to the river. Tammel dodged the 7♠ as he let out a big fist bump and secured a double up.
At the same time at another table, Jonas ten Cate and David Higuera went to the river on a completed board of K♥8♠3♦10♣J♥. Ten Cate then raised all in from the hijack and Higuera called for 300,000 on the button.
Ten Cate showed Q♦9♠ for a rivered straight and Higuera's cards quickly hit the muck as he made his exit. "Since the bubble I'm unbeatable," Ten Cate said after the hand.
Adrian Teodorescu limped in from middle position and Carlos Diaz raised to 50,000 in the cutoff. Jean-Claude Perrot then moved all in for 225,000 and Teodorescu spent a moment tossing his lucky coin up in the air before mucking. Diaz, though, snap-called to put Perrot at risk.
Jean-Claude Perrot: 8♣8♦
Carlos Diaz: Q♠Q♥
Perrot had run into queens as the flop came 3♦K♠K♥. "I had a king," Teodorescu bemoaned as he shot away from the table. The rest of the board ran out J♥A♠ and Perrot was sent to the rail.
Roman Isaienko raised to 30,000 in middle position and Estanis Perez three-bet to 90,000 in the cutoff. Isaienko then moved all in. "Please show ace-king," Perez said as he called for 400,000.
Estanis Perez: J♣J♥
Roman Isaienko: Q♠Q♦
Perez didn't get his wish as Isaienko showed down a pair of queens. The board ran out 10♥6♥4♦4♣8♠ and Isaienko raked in the big pot to send Perez to the rail.
Jean-Claude Perrot raised to 35,000 on the button, Yarin Matan moved all in for 265,000 in the small blind, and Perrot called.
Yarin Matan: 6♦3♦
Jean-Claude Perrot: A♦K♥
The flop came 3♣7♣4♣ and Matan took the lead with a pair of threes and straight draw. The 6♠ fell on the turn to give him two pair and a lock on the hand as the 10♦ completed the board on the river to earn Matan a double up.
