Secondary Table: Fours for Tran Send Him into Chip Lead

Nível 34 : 150,000/300,000, 50,000 ante

Hand #189: JC Tran was first to act, and he raised to 650,000 with Jay Farber making the call next to speak as Marc McLaughlin came along from the button.

The flop landed {6-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{K-Clubs} and Tran tapped the table as Farber followed suit before McLaughlin tossed in a bet of 875,000. Tran reached into his stack and grabbed calling chips as Farber slid his cards to the muck.

The turn of the {2-Diamonds} was followed by checks from both players as the {A-Clubs} completed the board on the river. Tran cut out a bet of 2,650,000 to put McLaughlin to a decision as he sat back in his chair slightly before eventually folding after about a minute of deliberation.

Hand #190: From the cutoff Marc McLaughlin raised to 600,000 and he collected the blinds and antes.

Hand #191: Amir Lehavot opened to 600,000 from under the gun and Matthew Reed called from the cutoff along with JC Tran from the small blind. With the action on Jay Farber in the big blind, he three-bet to 1.8 million as Lehavot turned to Reed and asked for a confirmation of his chip stack before sliding chips back and forth in his hands for close to a minute before folding.

Reed quickly folded but Tran would make the call as the dealer dropped a {5-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop. Tran checked and Farber pushed out a bet of 2,350,000 which Tran called as the {7-Spades} landed on the turn. Both players checked and the {8-Spades} was delivered on the turn as both players checked again.

Tran tabled his {4-Clubs}{4-Hearts} for a pair of fours, and Farber flashed his {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} for ace-high and a busted flush draw to slip to just under 20 million in chips.
