Panzica Makes Straight Flush to Stay Alive

Nível 18 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Samuel Panzica
Samuel Panzica

Sam Panzica went all in preflop from late position for 138,000. Action folded to table chip leader Rui Bouquet in the small blind who thought for about a minute before moving all in himself. The big blind folded and cards were tabled.

Rui Bouquet: {q-Spades}{5-Spades}
Sam Panzica: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}

The board ran out {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{a-Spades}{q-Hearts}{10-Hearts} to give Panzica the straight flush and the full double.

"Woah, straight flush, do you get an envelope for that?" joked a tablemate.

Panzica didn't get a bonus, but he did double up and keep his tournament hopes alive.

Maimone Collects Koransky's Bounty

Nível 18 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Nick Maimone in earlier Wynn action.
Nick Maimone in earlier Wynn action.

Jordan Koransky moved all in for 61,000 from early position and Nick Maimone called from middle position. Sep Ebrahimi called from the big blind but then check-folded to a bet of 50,000 from Maimone on the {2-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{j-Clubs} flop.

Nick Maimone: {j-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}
Jordan Koransky: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

Maimone had flopped top pair and it held as the board ran out the {6-Diamonds} on the turn followed by the {4-Clubs} on the river.

Meanwhile, it was a rough Day 2 for recent MSPT Venetian $1,600 Main Event champ Shea Quintin, who began the day sixth in chips. Unfortunately for him, he was recently eliminated from the tournament.

No Bounty for Animated Muallem

Nível 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Noam Muallem (at the WSOP)
Noam Muallem (at the WSOP)

Tzu Huang raised to 20,000 from the hijack and Noah Muallem went all in on the button for 339,000. Andriy Lyubovetskiy called all in from the big blind for 127,000, bringing the action back to Huang.

Huang took his time assessing the situation before calling it off, putting two players at risk in the process.

Andriy Lyubovetskiy: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Noam Muallem: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
Tzu Huang: {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}

Muallem jolted out of his seat after the cards went on their backs. "Come on, one time dealer!" he yelled, and found a favorable flop of {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}{10-Clubs} to put him in the lead.

"No queen, no nine!" he begged, and the {8-Hearts} turn remained safe.

"No queen, no nine!" he once again shouted, but the dealer slapped the {9-Clubs} on the felt to give Lyubovetskiy the winner. The bracelet winner pumped his fists in excitement, while Muallem quickly assessed the new situation.

"Okay, I still got his bounty," pointing at Huang's stack, but a count proved otherwise as Huang had still 26,000 left after paying off the 212,000 that Muallem still had in front of him.

"Table change! Who wants it?" Huang chuckled after being left with dust.

California's Edvin Setaghian Wins Nearly $60k in Wynn Summer Classic Event

Nível 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Edvin Setaghian
Edvin Setaghian

On June 6, the $1,100 buy-in no-limit hold'em tournament during the Wynn Summer Classic attracted 242 entrants, creating a prize pool of $237,160, easily surpassing the $200,000 guarantee.

Players from all around the world, not just here in Nevada, showed up to compete. In the end, it was California resident Edvin Setaghian as the only player still with chips. The champion received $59,930 for his impressive and dominant performance at the luxurious Wynn Resort in Las Vegas.

Prior to that championship run, Setaghian had just $69,000 in career live tournament scores, according to Hendon Mob, so he nearly doubled his prior cashes.

Setaghian defeated Jose Catela from Portugal heads up to win the title. The runner-up didn't leave empty-handed, however, and took home $36,997 for his deep run. The final table of nine featured players from three separate countries (United States, Portugal and Hungary). Valdemar Kwaysser (5th place for $12,403) and Marton Czoszor (7th place for $7,684) are both Hungarians.

Welcome to Day 2 of the 2022 Wynn Summer Classic $2,200 Mystery Bounty!

Bounty Envelopes
Bounty Envelopes

Through four opening flights of the 2022 Wynn Summer Classic $2,200 Mystery Bounty, 2,854 entrants competed and more than doubled the $2.5 million guarantee by creating a $5,708,000 prize pool.

Official payouts and mystery bounty amounts will be revealed before the start of play and shared here.

So how will it work? Every time a player knocks someone out they will receive a ticket to redeem for a mystery bounty envelope, which they will draw out of a spinning drum (that's under heavy lock and key). Those envelopes will contain a piece of paper with a bounty amount ranging anywhere from $500 up to $250,000!

Shawn Daniels will begin the day as chip leader with 1.1 million. The only other two players over the million-chip mark are Day 1d chip leader Rui Bouquet (1,097,000) and Ashish Guota (1,077,000). On the flip side, Russell Thomas (38,000), Benjamin Underwood (32,000), and Brandon Mulcrone (22,000) will be the easiest bounties to collect as they're the three short stacks.

Cards will be in the air at Noon local time. Action will resume with 36 minutes remaining in Level 17 (4,000/8,000/8,000).

Day 1d of the 2022 Wynn Summer Classic $2,200 Mystery Bounty took place on Thursday, June 16, and attracted 1,250 runners, which along with the first three flights brought the total field up to 2,854 entries. That is ahead of both Day 1c chip leader Tony Tran (899,000) and Day 1a chip leader Arsenii Karmatckii (798,000), but just behind Day 1b chip leader Shawn Daniels (1.1 million).

Others to advance from Day 1d were Kevin Calenzo (684,000), Joao Simao (583,000), David Coleman (571,000), Anton Wigg (448,000), 2022 Wynn Millions champ Tony Sinishtaj (310,000), Justin Lapka (303,000), Kitty Kuo (250,000), Kristen Foxen (248,000), and Chris Moorman (225,000).

On Friday, 313 players from the 2,854-entry field will return to action. PokerNews will be on-hand to offer live updates while the mystery bounty portion of the tournament kicks off. The plan is to play down to a winner, so players and fans should settle in for a long day of mystery bounty action.

Are You Ready for the 2022 Wynn Summer Classic $2,200 Mystery Bounty?

Wynn Poker
Wynn Poker

The 2022 Wynn Summer Classic kicked off back on May 31 and is slated to run through July 20!

This year's Wynn Summer Classic will consist of dozens of events with buy-ins ranging from $500 to $5,500, including poker variants like Pot-Limit Omaha, Limit Omaha 8 or Better, H.O.R.S.E. and 8-Game Mix. The series will offer over $15.8 million in guaranteed prize money, including seven events with guarantees reaching seven figures.

Right now, the $2,200 Mystery Bounty — the first of multiple bounty events — is taking place and offering up a massive guarantee of $2.5 million. There are four separate starting flights, and PokerNews will bring you info and chip counts from each. We will then pick up traditional live updates on Day 2, which is when the bounty component kicks in, on Friday, June 17.

The highlight of the series will be $3,500 NLH Championship, a three-day tournament with three starting flights and a guarantee of $3.5 million, the biggest of the series. The championship event kicks off on June 24 and will run through Day 3 on June 28.

The series will close out on July 18 with $500 Casino Employee Mystery Bounty, a two-day event with two starting flights and $100,000 in guaranteed prize money.
