Davenport Loses a Bunch to Linaras

Matthew Davenport had previously lost a medium-sized pot to Sokratis Linaras and both then clashed again soon after.

Linaras defended the big blind and checked the A♠K♦6♦ flop. Davenport bet 475,000 for the Greek to call and the same action repeated on the A♥ turn for 1,650,000.

Once Linaras checked the J♣ on the river, Davenport knuckled it back. Linaras revealed the A♣Q♣ for trips aces and that won the pot.

Omar Eljach raised to 800,000 and the action folded to Francis Klar in the big blind, who waved to see the stack of Eljach before coming along.

There was no betting action on the Q♦4♦2♠ flop and Klar check-folded the 9♠ turn to a bet.

The tournament is currently on a bubble for the 2023 WSOP Europe Main Event tickets and that certainly has had an influence on the action.

[Removed:446] had previously folded to a short stack shove by Georges Chehade and then faced the small blind jam by Matt Davenport. Saran had 7,450,000 behind in the big blind, glanced at the tournament info twice and made the call on the Main Event ticket bubble.

All 14 remaining players are guaranteed a €10,350 seat to the WSOPE Main Event.
