Dimitrios Katsikas shoved for 745,000 chips from under the gun, and he was called by Marius Gicovanu in the hijack. After him, one player seemed to hesitate, but everybody folded.
Dimitrios Katsikas: 10♦10♥
Marius Gicovanu: Q♦Q♥
Katsikas couldn't do anything against Gicovanu's queens on 9♥5♥9♠6♦4♦. He was eliminated in 67th place for €4,235.
Florin Bilan was all in for around 600,000 from the button and up against Niklas Bauer in early position.
Florin Bilan: J♠J♦
Niklas Bauer: Q♣Q♥
Bilan had run into a higher pocket pair and was sent off to collect a payday once the board ran out K♥10♠A♥6♣3♦.
At the same time at another table, Adrian Constantin, who had flirted with the chip leader earlier in the day, was down to around 400,000 and was all in against Stefan Zaugg.
Adrian Constantin: A♥5♦
Stefan Zaugg: K♥Q♠
The A♠Q♣2♦ flop gave both players a pair, but Zaugg improved to two pair on the K♦ turn. The river came the 7♠ and Constantin was eliminated.
Florian Kraft opened to 200,000 from the hijack and action folded to Xhavit Berisha in the small blind, who shoved approximately 1,000,000. Kraft called to put Berisha at risk and hands were revealed.
Xhavit Berisha: 10♠10♦
Florian Kraft: A♦Q♣
The J♣10♥Q♥ flop gave Berisha a set, which improved to a full house on the J♥ turn before improving further to quads on the 10♣ river for the double up.
Already chipleader with more than 10,000,000 chips, Artiom Poddubnii opened to 160,000 from middle position, and he was called by Evgheni Toporas in the cutoff.
Both players decided to check on the flop 6♣9♦5♦, and to check again on the turn A♦.
Finally, the 4♣ came on the river, and Poddubnii bet 285,000. Toporas thought about his decision for a few seconds, but eventually folded.
Giuseppe Mazza-Boussemart raised to 210,000 under the gun before Eusebiu Jalba three-bet to 625,000 in the cutoff.
The blinds got out of the way and Mazza-Boussemart then four-bet to 1,200,000.
Jalba came back with an all-in shove and Mazza-Boussemart quickly mucked. Jalba slammed down K♦Q♥ and Mazza-Boussemart flung his arms in the air in frustration.
"King-queen, really? On me? You see me make a move. I folded pocket tens," Mazza-Boussemart said.
Aleksej Grenz raised to 180,000 in early position before Alberto Cigliano three-bet to 500,000 in middle position. Guy Goossens called for his last 325,000 in the small blind, while Grenz folded.
Guy Goossens: 10♣9♣
Alberto Cigliano: K♣K♠
Goossens had run into kings and was at risk of busting right at the end of the day, but he was saved by the 5♥J♣J♥A♣4♣ board making a flush to double up.
The next hand, Goossens shoved from the button for 700,000 as big blind Xhavit Berisha considered the decision. He eventually called.
Guy Goossens: A♠9♠
Xhavit Berisha: A♦2♦
Goossens was ahead this time and the 3♥8♦7♠Q♥K♦ board didn't have anything for Berisha as Goossens doubled for the second straight hand.
