The first casualty after the dinner break was Dutchman David Boyaciyan and moments later, another all-in showdown unfolded.
Zdenek Zizka raised to 40,000 in the hijack and Viktor Blom three-bet to 125,000 in the cutoff. The four-bet shove by Zizka followed and Blom inquired about the stack size, which he guessed at 395,000.
That was confirmed by the dealer and Blom then called for slightly more than half of his remaining stack.
Zdenek Zizka: K♣K♥
Viktor Blom: A♠Q♣
The A♣5♠4♦ flop instantly improved Blom and there was no escaping for Zizka on the 5♣ turn or 3♠ river.

Three ways to the 9♣6♦5♣9♥ turn, the action checked to Axel Hallay in the under-the-gun position and he bet 75,000. Aaron Duczak check-raised all-in out of the small blind and forced two folds.
Moments later, the cards were on their backs one table over with Alexandr Dusco all-in out of the big blind for 260,000 on the A♠6♦3♦ flop against Giuseppe Mazza-Boussemart from one seat over.
Alexandr Dusco: A♥3♠
Giuseppe Mazza-Boussemart: A♦10♠
The 7♥ turn added more counterfeit outs for Mazza-Boussemart but Dusco further improved to a full house with the 3♥ river.

With around 350,000 in the pot on a board of Q♠10♥A♠6♣, Axel Hallay bet another 350,000 from the big blind before small blind Hyunsup Kim raised to 700,000.
Hallay called and the 10♦ fell on the river. Kim checked over to Hallay who moved all in. Kim snap-called for his last 400,000 and turned over K♠J♥ for the flopped straight.
Hallay shook his head in disbelief as he flashed A♣K♦ before giving up the massive pot.

Raoul Refos and Nils Pudel were battling over a pot that had grown to a size of 385,000 chips when they arrived on the turn on 10♣7♥K♠2♥.
Refos checked from the big blind and Pudel made a bet of 80,000 on the button. Refos made the call and the 7♦ river completed the board.
Refos checked once more, but relinquished his cards and thus the pot when Pudel put him all-in for his final 275,000 chips.

Alf Martinsson raised from the hijack and was called by Michael Armstrong on the button, Alexander Tkatschew also came along in the big blnd as well. The Q♣3♥3♠ flop was checked to Armstrong, who continued for 55,000. Tkatschew got out of the way but Martinsson called.
That led the duo to the 5♥ turn on which Martinsson check-called for another 90,000. The 10♠ river was checked by the Swede once more and Armstrong pushed all-in. No count was asked upon as Martinsson snap-called.
Already knowing his fate, Armstrong flipped over the K♦J♦ for a king-high bluff and Martinsson dealt the final blow with the A♠A♣.
"It was fun," the Canadian said on his way out of the tournament area.
