Lee Finds a Double Near the Bubble

Robert Kokoska opened to 10,000 from under the gun and received calls from Selahaddin Bedir from early position and Jin-Hoon Lee in the big blind.

The flop came K♦Q♠7♣ and action checked around to Bedir who bet 13,000. Lee moved all in for 53,500, folding out Kokoska while Bedir made the call with a covering stack to put Lee at risk.

Lee was ahead with top pair but needed to fade Bedir who had a gutshot and live ace. The 2♣ turn and 3♥ were clean and Lee secured a full double up approximately 20 spots away from the money.

Both players checked the J♦10♦6♣ flop, but Hilberts led out for 24,000 on the turn which was called by Pawlowski.

The 7♥ completed the board and Hilberts bet 45,000. After nearly a minute of contemplation time Pawlowski made the call. Hilberts tabled 9♦8♦ who picked up a monster draw on the flop, but in the end, made a jack-high straight to take a huge pot.

The straight came in on the 4♥ turn leaving Chatteur drawing dead. the 9♠ river was a formality and Chatteur was sent to the rail while Paduano continued to add chips to his stack.
