Andrei Konopelko Eliminated in 11th Place (€6,949)

Andrei Konopelko
Andrei Konopelko

Andrei Konopelko moved all in for his last 900,000 from the button and Michal Mrakes isolated from the small blind by moving all in himself. The big blind got out of the way and they went to showdown.

Michal Mrakes: {A-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Andrei Konopelko: {Q-Spades}{8-Spades}

The board ran out {K-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{10-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and Mrakes sent Konopelko to the rail in 11th place, good for €6,949.

Alexandre Viard Eliminated in 12th Place (€6,949)

Nível 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Alexandre Viard
Alexandre Viard

Mario Llapi opened under the gun to 130,000 and two seats over it was Alexandre Viard who requested the red all-in triangle by announcing all in. It folded all the way back to Llapi who didn't call right away, despite calling for his friends while the other players still had a decision to make.

Llapi ended up calling and it didn't look all that special with {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs} against the {A-Hearts}{J-Spades} of Viard. The board ran out {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{4-Spades}{9-Clubs}{3-Spades} and Llapi ended up with the flush.

No chop pot for Viard who gets sent to the rail in 12th place, banking €6,949.

Luiz Antonio Duarte Ferreira Filho Eliminated in 13th Place (€5,513)

Nível 26 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Luiz Antonio Duarte Ferreira Filho
Luiz Antonio Duarte Ferreira Filho

Luiz Antonio Duarte Ferreira Filho started the day as chip leader but had a brutal day in the €1,100 Monster Stack event. He got his last 700,000 in the middle with {A-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} against Mykhailo Gutyi his {A-Spades}{J-Hearts}.

The board ran out {9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{J-Spades} and Duarte wasn't able to hit to stay alive in the tournament. His father started the day as the tournament short stack and was sent to the rail first and Duarte was eliminated right after his father.

Duarte cashes for €5,513.

Luiz Ferreira Eliminated in 14th Place (€5,513)

Nível 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Luiz Ferreira
Luiz Ferreira

Luiz Ferreira moved all in from the cutoff for about 600,000 and it was small blind Mario Llapi who moved all in as well for less than a million. The big blind folded and the two opened up their hands.

Luiz Ferreira: {A-Spades}{10-Spades}
Mario Llapi: {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}

The flop was a very exciting {Q-Clubs}{K-Spades}{J-Hearts} as Llapi flopped a set, but Ferreira flopped a Broadway straight. The turn was the {K-Clubs} which gave Llapi a full house and the {K-Diamonds} was dealt as a courtesy.

Ferreira takes home €5,513 for his efforts and is the first one eliminated today. Ferreira's son now has to carry the torch for Brazil.

Only 14 Players Remain in MONSTER STACK, Who Will Come Out on Top?

All In
All In

When play was halted on Day 2 of Event #5: €1,100 MONSTER STACK No-Limit Hold'em, there were only 14 players still in contention for the WSOP gold bracelet. They will all return to the felt at 2:00 PM today with one goal in mind...win!

One of the biggest storylines among the remaining players is the father-son combo of Luiz Ferreira and Luiz Antonio Duarte Ferreira Filho (Luiz Duarte). The father, Ferreira, has some work to do as one of the short stacks with 510,000 chips but his son, Duarte, has put himself in prime position as the chipleader heading into the final day. Duarte accumulated a massive stack of 4,350,000 and players have been acknowledging how well he plays a big stack.

It won't be easy for the Ferreira family though with 14 players still remaining and many of them accomplished in their own right. Timur Margolin currently sits in second place with 4,110,000 and already has one gold bracelet to his name. Margolin has already tasted victory at the World Series of Poker and that could prove to be a huge advantage when the tournament nears the end. Raul Henriquez (2,810,000), Andrei Konopelko (2,360,000), and Alexandre Viard (2,180,000) round out the top five stacks.

The players will return to their seats at 2:00 PM, a little earlier than scheduled, in the hopes of reaching a final table by the time the live stream kicks off at 3:00 PM. A new redraw will occur when just 10 players are remaining and the hole cards will be shown for the final eight. The action will resume on level 25 with the blinds at 20,000/40,000 and a 40,000 big blind ante.

There is still plenty of money up for grabs with the biggest pay jumps still to come. Each of the final 14 players is guaranteed to walk away with at least €5,513 while the winner will take home €134,407. The PokerNews live reporting team will be on site to bring you all of the live updates until a winner is crowned.
