"Justice" for Vitch

Nível 23 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante
Christopher Vitch
Christopher Vitch

2-7 Triple Draw

Chris Vitch raised in the small blind, and Ron Ware defended his big blind. Vitch drew two and Ware three, but one of Vitch's cards got exposed: {7-Diamonds}. He shook his head as the card was put back in the deck, and he took a replacement card. Vitch bet again and Ware called. On the second draw, Vitch took one and Ware two. Vitch bet again and Ware called.

On the last draw, Vitch was pat. Ware took a card and then snap-called a bet, but Vitch rolled over {7-}{6-}{5-}{4-}{2-}.

Vitch said the seven was what he needed and he had caught another on fourth street.

"That's justice then," Mike Ross said.

Soulier Makes a Correct Call with Queen-High

Nível 23 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

2-7 Triple Draw

It was originally a three-way pot between Ron Ware, Mike Ross, and Fabrice Soulier, but Ross gave up after the second draw when Ware (drew one on second draw) and Soulier (drew two on second draw) went to a war. Soulier, who was in position, raised Ware's bet.

Ware called and they both drew one on the last draw. Ware led this time and Soulier went to a deep thought process. He eventually called and heard what he wanted to hear as Ware announced, "One pair". Soulier turned over his {Q-}{8-}{4-}{3-}{2-} and scooped a nice pot to push his stack to 900,000.

Ryan Himes Doubles Through Gregory Jamison

Nível 23 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

2-7 Triple Draw

Ryan Himes and Gregory Jamison were the shortest stacks on the final table and they both wanted to take on each other as they capped the pot before the first draw.

Jamison patted while Himes drew one, and the same story repeated on each of the following draws. Meanwhile, Himes was calling Jamison's bets. After the third draw, though, Jamison moved all in for about a half the regular bet.

Jamison was left with scratches but he didn't like his situation. Eventually he figured out he couldn't fold, calling with {8-}{7-}{6-}{4-}{2-}. Himes, however, got there on the last draw, improving to {7-}{6-}{5-}{3-}{2-} to double up.

No-Limit Hold'em

Gregory Jamison was seriously short on chips and found one double with {j-Clubs}{8-Clubs} against the {q-Clubs}{j-Hearts} of Sachin Bhargava, but he could not find another. He shoved all in from the cutoff for 52,000, and Fabrice Soulier looked him up from the button.

Soulier: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Jamison: {k-Hearts}{4-Hearts}

The board ran out {8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{7-Spades}, giving Jamison a pair and the lead on the flop before the ace sent him packing on the turn.

Vitch Gets Value from Fours in the Hole

Nível 24 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante

Stud

Sachin Bhargava completed with the {10-Hearts} and Chris Vitch raised with the {4-Spades}. Bhargava called.

The following streets were played in a dynamic tempo as Vitch didn't miss any chance to bat. Bhargava was ready, calling within a blink of an eye every time.

Sachin Bhargava: {X-}{X-} / {10-Hearts}{8-Spades}{4-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}
Chris Vitch: {X-}{X-} / {4-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades}

Chris Vitch revealed {4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{J-Hearts} as his hole cards, good for trip fours. Bhargava himself had the remaining four on the board but it wasn't enough to block Vitch from making the winning hand.

Ross Losing Ground in O8

Nível 24 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

Mike Ross raised early and Fabrice Soulier called in the small blind. The French player check-called the {5-Spades}{7-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} flop and then came out betting on the {a-Hearts} turn. Ross folded after some thought, saying he had pocket kings with a low draw.

Two hands later, Ross defended his big blind from a raise by Sachin Bhargava. The flop came {j-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{3-Spades} and Ross check-folded to another bet, sinking to around 300,000.

Ryan Himes Eliminated in 6th Place ($19,077)

Nível 24 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante
Ryan Himes
Ryan Himes

Ryan Himes lost a huge pot in razz that left him with only 25,000. He would lose them two hands later when he was in the big blind in a hand of pot-limit Omaha.

Razz

What led to Himes' elimination was a clash against Ron Ware. Himes completed with a {6-} and Chris Vitch {2-} and Ron Ware came along {6-}.

Himes was the active player in the hand, betting fourth and fifth street. Vitch stepped down already on the fourth but Ware called on both occasions. The sixth street went check-check. Ware finally placed in a bet on the seventh street, which Himes didn't particularly like but he matched it anyway.

Ryan Himes: {X-}{X-} / {6-}{7-}{8-}{9-}
Ron Ware: {X-}{X-} / {6-}{2-}{4-}{3-}

Ware turned over {A-}{3-}{4-} as his hole cards, showing six-perfect.

Pot-Limit Omaha

After the aforementioned razz hand, Himes had only two big blinds left and he had to post one. Mike Ross opened the button to 30,000 and Himes called off for the rest of his chips.

Ryan Himes: {A-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{K-Hearts}
Mike Ross: {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}

The board {Q-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{8-Spades}{9-Hearts}{4-Spades} sent Himes to the sidelines in sixth place worth $19,077.

Pot-Limit Kinder to Ross

Nível 24 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Fabrice Soulier raised to 30,000 and Mike Ross reraised to pot in the big blind. Soulier thought awhile and folded.

Then, Ross raised in the small blind to 30,000 and Sachin Bhargava called in the big. They checked down a board of {7-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{9-Spades}. Finally, Ross bet 30,000 and Bhargava called.

"Kings up," Ross announced, tabling {k-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{5-Spades} for kings and nines. Bhargava mucked {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} face up.

Ware Shows Bullets to Win a Giant Stud 8 Hand

Nível 24 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante
Ron Ware
Ron Ware

Stud Hi-Lo

Ron Ware just moved to the chip lead, breaking the one-million-chip mark after winning a massive three-way pot against Fabrice Soulier and Chris Vitch.

They all remained in the contest through to the seventh street, with the pot being raised already on the third street.

Ware fired on the fourth, earning two calls. Soulier paired his sixes on the fifth street and he led to the pot. Both of his rivals called. The sixth street double-paired Soulier's board as he spiked another seven. However, the sixth street was the only one that was checked all around.

Soulier then check-raised the seventh street, after Ron Ware had called Chris Vitch's bet. Vitch had three low cards on the board but he apparently didn't make his low as he eventually tank-folded. Ware snap-called.

Chris Vitch: {X-}{X-} / {3-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{2-Spades}
Fabrice Soulier: {X-} / {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}
Ron Ware: {X-}{X-} / {3-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{3-Spades}{J-Diamonds}

Soulier announced, "Two pair," pointing at his board. Ware, in return, showed {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}{10-Hearts} as his hole cards for a higher two pairs to scoop the big pot and vault over a million in chips.
