Andriy Lyubovetskiy
Andriy Lyubovetskiy

Luke Vrabel briefly recapped a hand he played against Andriy Lyubovetskiy. Vrabel moved all in with {k-}{j-} and action folded to Lyubovetskiy.

Vrabel explained he tried to convince the Ukranian to fold but Lyubovetskiy ended up calling off his shorter stack with {a-}{8-}.

Vrabel paired his jack on the flop and he held on the turn and river to send Lyubovetskiy packing.

Jolly Saves the Best for Last

Nível 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Brant Jolly
Brant Jolly

Tommi Lankinen opened to 22,000 in early position and Brant Jolly three-bet to 70,000 on his left. The action folded back to Lankinen who called to see a flop of {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}. Lankinen checked to Jolly who continued with a bet of 80,000 and Lankinen folded.

Two hands later, Jolly raised to 25,000 and was called by Andrew Brinkley in the big blind. The flop fell {a-Spades}{7-Clubs}{5-Spades} and Brinkley check-folded to a bet of 40,000 from Jolly.

The very next hand, Lankinen raised to 22,000 again and Jolly just called this time. The button also called and Brinkley ripped all in for 161,000 from the small blind. Lankinen folded and Jolly re-shoved all in, forcing the button to fold.

Andrew Brinkley: {a-Hearts}{6-Hearts}
Brant Jolly: {a-Spades}{j-Spades}

Jolly was in a dominating position and the board of {9-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} provided little sweat as Jolly sent Brinkley to the payout desk.

Nível 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Gaelle Baumann
Gaelle Baumann

Gaelle Baumann opened to 22,000 from middle position and the cutoff called. The small blind three-bet to 105,000 and both Baumann and the cutoff came along for the ride.

The flop came {q-Spades}{9-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and after the small blind checked, Baumann fired 90,000. The cutoff was quick to fold and the small blind would hesitate before folding himself.

Baumann started her day with 372,000 and has built her stack to a million in less than three hours on Day 4.

Mermelstein Sends "Aces" Out with Aces

Nível 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Simon Trumper
Simon Trumper

British poker legend Simon "Aces" Trumper just received the most ironic of eliminations from the Main Event after he moved all in for his last 70,000 and found a customer in Aaron Mermelstein.

Simon Trumper: {a-Spades}{7-Clubs}
Aaron Mermelstein: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}

The board ran out {j-Spades}{10-Clubs}{8-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}, and while it's far from the first time the man has been eliminated by his nickname, it's likely a rarity that it's happened to him in the Main Event.

Meanwhile at a nearby table, former Main Event final tablist Kenny Hallaert was seen heading toward the payout desk.

Imsirovic Cracks Kings to Oust Lopez

Nível 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Ali Imsirovic
Ali Imsirovic

Ali Imsirovic had four green T-25,000 chips over the betting line in the big blind and was facing an all-in for roughly 600,000 by Jose Lopez in the hijack. Imsirovic thought about it and called.

Jose Lopez: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Ali Imsirovic: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

The {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} flop gave Imsirovic more outs, and the {8-Hearts} hit the felt on the turn to vault Imsirovic ahead as a couple of groans were heard from the table. Lopez needed one of the two tens in the deck to survive with a superior straight, but the {9-Spades} river confirmed the result to eliminate him, while Imsirovic chipped up.

Watson Finds the Call During Break

Nível 16 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Patrick Hagenlocher
Patrick Hagenlocher

Elliot Smith opened to 16,000 from under the gun and was called by Andrew Watson on his direct left. Day 1b chip leader Patrick Hagenlocher then made it 51,000 from middle position, only Watson called.

Watson check-called bets of 76,000 and 200,000 for the final board to read {7-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{9-Clubs}.

Watson checked again and Hagenlocher fired for 340,000. Watson went deep into the tank and the hand had long gone into the break. After around 4 minutes, Watson finally called.

"Good call," said Hagenlocher, as he tabled his {a-Spades}{q-Spades} for just ace high. Watson turned over his {7-Hearts}{7-Spades} and scooped in the mammoth-sized pot to leave his opponent short.

On the river, Gaelle Baumann was on the button in a heads-up pot. About 60,000 was in the middle and the board showed {5-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}.

Michael Gonzalez bet 28,000 from the big blind. Baumann thought for about a minute making the call.

Her opponent mucked, Baumann showed {a-Spades}{6-Spades} for ace high and the winner.

Bad Beat Sends Kelsall to the Rail

Nível 16 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Andrew Kelsall
Andrew Kelsall

After a player in early position raised to 16,000, Andrew "AJ" Kelsall moved all in for his last 196,000 from the hijack and was called by Rene Knapp on the button. The early position player folded and the always friendly Philadelphia sports fan was at risk.

Andrew Kelsall: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Rene Knapp: {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}

Kelsall was in great shape until the {k-Spades}{j-Spades}{2-Spades} flop gave Knapp a set of jacks.

The {6-Clubs} turn and {3-Diamonds} river couldn't bail Kelsall out and his day in the Main Event was ended quickly.
