Teliana's Flush Holds

Nível 14 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Nohad Teliani
Nohad Teliani

On a board of {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{2-Clubs}, the small blind led for 11,000. The player under the gun raised the flop to 27,000. Then action made its way to Nohad Teliani.

She three-bet the flop all in to around 70,000. The small blind player also moved all in, having Teliani covered. The third player folded.

Nohad Teliani: {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Small Blind: {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}

Teliana was ahead, but needed to avoid a board pair to stay alive. The {9-Hearts} turn and {8-Hearts} river did just that, and Teliana got more than a full double.

"Baccarat hand, natural eight," she said as she raked the pot.

"Nasty Nate" Silver Knocks Out Deeb's Second Bullet

Nível 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Nate Silver
Nate Silver

Shaun Deeb jumped in for his second bullet to quickly run into a confrontation with Nate Silver.

Both players had got all their chips in the middle on an eight-high flop with two diamonds.

Shaun Deeb: {k-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
"Nasty" Nate Silver: {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

Deeb had flopped top pair, but Silver had a live over and the flush draw.

The turn drilled that draw when the third diamond came in, leaving Deeb drawing dead.

"Nasty Nate, that's his name now," said a tablemate.

Silver raked the pot and is now more than double starting stack.

Nearby, Xuan Liu was seen heading to the rail.

Martin Jacobson
Martin Jacobson

Preflop action had a player in early position shoving all in for 31,000. It was folded around to Martin Jacobson in the big blind who called and the cards were on their backs.

Opponent: {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Martin Jacobson: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}

The flop came down {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{7-Hearts} hitting a pair for each but with the {2-Clubs} turn and {3-Hearts} river, the pair of aces that Jacobson hit was good to take down the pot and send his opponent to the rail.

Martinelli Wins Blind Versus Blind Confrontation

Nível 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Luke Martinelli
Luke Martinelli

Two players were fighting over a pot of about 100,000, both in the blinds. The full board showed {j-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{10-Hearts}{j-Hearts}.

Luke Martinelli saw his opponent bet 20,000 on the river in front of him. In position, Martinelli moved in 82,000, the large majority of his stack.

His opponent thought long enough that a player called the clock on him. Just before his countdown reached zero, he let his cards go.

The pot catapulted Martinelli to one of the top spots on the leaderboard.

Jimmy D'Ambrosio
Jimmy D'Ambrosio

One of the 2022 WSOP's most animated players has entered the event, Jimmy D'Ambrosio. With around 10,000 in the pot and a board of {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}{9-Hearts}, D'Ambrosio was first to act and checked to his opponent in middle position who also checked.

On the {a-Diamonds} turn, D'Ambrosio check-called a 3,000 bet.

The river was a {5-Diamonds} and D'Ambrosio fired out 7,500 while saying some of his usual catch phrases, "Sky-high Jimmy is back!" and
"They can't get a read on me, I can't even get a read on myself."

After a few minutes in the tank, his opponent folded and D'Ambrosio showed the {6-Diamonds} as he collected the pot.

The hijack raised to 4,000 and Xuan Liu made the call, leaving herself 1,000 behind. The big blind player also called.

The flop came out {6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} and the hijack bet 5,000 when checked to. Liu committed her final 1,000 and the big blind called the 5,000 to create a side pot.

The turn was the {q-Clubs} and both players with action remaining checked. They also checked the {8-Hearts} river.

Xuan Liu had {k-Hearts}{q-Spades} to take down the main pot. The big blind had {7-}{6-} for the side pot, and the opener lost with {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}.

De Silva Scores the Knockout

Nível 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Upeshka De Silva
Upeshka De Silva

A middle-position player opened to 2,400 before Upeshka De Silva three-bet from the cutoff to 7,200.

The player in the small blind thought that wasn't enough, and he moved in for 32,600. Action folded back to De Silva who made the call after thinking for about a minute. He had the small blind well covered.

Small Blind: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Upeshka De Silva: {k-Spades}{j-Spades}

"I folded the same hand," said the original opener, referring to the king-jack.

The flop came out {q-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} to give the small blind top pair, but Se Silva had plenty of outs. One of those outs came in when the {k-Clubs} turn hit, putting De Silva well in the lead. The {4-Diamonds} river kept him there and De Silva added to his stack.

Adrian Mateos
Adrian Mateos

With 10,000 in the middle and the flop showing {a-Spades}{3-Clubs}{4-Spades}, Adrian Mateos was first to act and checked to his opponent under the gun who also checked.

A {q-Hearts} showed up on the turn and Mateos check-called a pot-sized bet of 10,000.

With an {a-Diamonds} showing on the river, Mateos once again checked and his opponent grabbed a stack of reds worth 30,000 and threw it into the middle. Mateos went in to the tank studying the board and after a few minutes made the call. His opponent flipped over {6-Diamonds}{2-Spades}
for a missed straight draw that left him with 6-high. Mateos showed {q-Clubs}{j-Spades} for two pair, aces and queens to take down the monster pot.
