Etheridge Doubles Through Aube

Nível 33 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Brian Keith Etheridge opened to 600,000 on the button before Sebastien Aube jammed as the big stack. Etheridge put in the rest of his 6,750,000.

"Good call," said Aube, who exposed his {k-Spades}{9-Spades} while his opponent had {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}.

The pocket eights managed to hold out for the win after the {a-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} runout.

Double Up for Loire

Nível 33 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Brian Keith Etheridge raised to 600,000 from the button and Julien Loire responded by shoving all in for 5,300,000 from the small blind. Sebastien Aube was in the big blind and moved all in for close to 20,000,000 and Etheridge decided to fold.

Julian Loire: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Sebastien Aube: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

The board came down {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and while both ended up with a full house, Loire's kings full of jacks was best and he took down the pot and made a big dent in Aube's stack.

Brian Keith Etheridge

In a blind versus blind battle, Brian Keith Etheridge opened to 900,000 before calling the all-in from Julien Loire.

Julien Loire: {a-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}
Brian Keith Etheridge: {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}

The jacks were immediately outflopped as the dealer fanned the {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{7-Spades} flop which was followed by the {6-Spades} turn and {3-Diamonds} river.

After the stacks were counted, Etheridge only had 600,000 left. He then doubled up through Sebastien Aube the very next hand.

Now in the big blind, the short stack moved all in for 1,800,000 and was called by Loire, who opened from the button.

Brian Keith Etheridge: {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Julien Loire: {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

Loire would go on to make Broadway on the {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{j-Spades}{3-Spades} runout to set up heads-up play.

As Etheridge left the table, the remaining players congratulated the TV Writer and Producer on his deep run and impressive skills. Etheridge had been a favourite of many tablemates throughout the last three days and now walks away with a $222,762 payday and WSOP top three finish.
