Bracelet Winners Among the Latest Sent to the Rail

Brian Altman
Brian Altman

Blinds: 15,000/30,000/30,000

Bracelet winner Brian Altman is among the latest to hit the rail after jamming his last six big blinds in from the small blind and getting called by Jean Ferreira in the big blind.

Brian Altman: {j-Hearts}{7-Clubs}
Jean Ferreira: {q-Clubs}{4-Spades}

The board came {5-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{10-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}, bringing Ferreira a pair of fours on the river to eliminate Altman.

Fellow bracelet winner Ismael Bojang was also recently seen heading to the payout desk

Chen Sent Away by Mighty Rohr

Pete Chen
Pete Chen

Blinds: 30,000/60,000/60,000

Pete Chen moved all in from under the gun for a bit under 400,000. Steven Rohr moved in for slightly more from the button.

"I have a big pair," said Chen jokingly as he flipped his cards in an attempt to win a race.

Pete Chen: {4-Spades}{4-Hearts}
Steven Rohr: {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

The {3-Spades}{j-Clubs}{7-Hearts} flop brought a jack for Rohr, leaving the WSOP bracelet winner in need of a four to survive.

Unfortunately for him, neither the {7-Diamonds} turn or {8-Diamonds} river brought Chen the help he needed, and he was eliminated with just six tables remaining in the field.

Action has ended for the day in Event #62: $1,500 Super Turbo Bounty No-Limit Hold'em Freezeout with 20 players remaining. The tournament was scheduled as a single-day event but another day was added due to the size of the field.

Chris Fraser had a fantastic day that saw him bagging an impressive 22 bounties worth $500 a piece for $11,000 in bounty prizes. The Englishman is after his first bracelet and looking to add to his $423,272 in Hendon Mob-reported earnings.

Despite all the bounties, Fraser bagged 1,350,000 in chips to put him toward the bottom of the pack, while big stacks include John Bredengerd (8,500,000), David Sanchez (6,850,000) and Shaun Colquhoun (5,500,000).

The Super Turbo Bounty event attracted 2,569 entrants, which is nearly double the 1,441 players that entered last year. The tournament generated $2,145,115 in prize money with a minimum cash being worth $1,502 and a first-place prize of $301,396.

Players who were in the action early included big names like Phil Ivey, Phil Hellmuth, David Peters, Nadya Magnus, Shannon Shorr, Joe Cada, David Williams, Alex Foxen and Scott Seiver.

With 20-minute levels, it didn't take long for the field to dwindle down and by the dinner break, there were less than 200 players remaining.

Notably, poker media figure Kevin "Kevmath" Mathers locked up his first cash in a WSOP bracelet event and ultimately fell in 362nd place when his pocket tens were pipped by an opponent's fishhooks.

Others who cashed in the Super Turbo Bounty event include Brian Altman, Eric Froehlich, Kevin MacPhee, Adrian Buckley, JC Tran, Dara O'Kearney, Joao Vieira and 2013 Main Event Champion Ryan Riess.
