They also welcome special guest Michael Graydon from Birmingham, Alabama, who was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer seven months ago. The poker community stepped up to support the 40-year-old husband & father of two. A number of players came together to fund Graydon's trip to the WSOP this year including an entry to the Main Event. Lára Neacy met with him just before he took his seat for Day 1D to hear his story & new perspective on life.

Ferraro Flops It

Blanchard Takes a Chunk Out of Holodiuk

Leonid Yanovski raised to 200,000 in middle position and Serhii Holodiuk three-bet to 1,100,000 in the cutoff. Duane Blanchard was on the button and called off his 785,000 before Yanovski mucked his hand.

The flop came , smashing both players with Blanchard making a set of jacks and Holodiuk flopping Broadway. The on the turn gave Blanchard a few more outs to chop and the paired the board, securing his double up.
