Howeth Moves Over a Million

Shane Howeth

Big O

The flop was down {a-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}, and Anatolii Zyrin bet from the button, which both Shane Howeth and John Evans called from the blinds.

The turn fell the {j-Hearts}, and after the action checked to Zyrin once again, he bet pot for 126,000, leaving 220,000 behind.

Howeth moved all in for 494,000, and this resulted in John Evans going deep into the tank sat with 750,000. Close to two minutes had passed, and Evans was visibly frustrated, but ultimately called.

Zyrin then also called and the cards were turned on their back.

Anatolii Zyrin: {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}
Shane Howeth: {k-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs}
John Evans: {q-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}

The river card fell the {q-Hearts} and Howeth celebrated.

"Queen baby!" he exclaimed to his rail as he secured the high.

All three players held the nut low, and once the pot was split, Howeth moved up to 1,050,000.

Riess and Laak Fall to Guerfi

Nível 23 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante
Ryan Riess
Ryan Riess

Omaha Hi-Lo

[Removed:146] raised in the cutoff and Ryan Riess said, "Alright," moving in his 85,000. Guerfi agreed to put in the chips preflop and they turned their hole cards up.

Riess: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{5-Spades}
Guerfi: {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{2-Clubs}

Guerfi flopped flush on {4-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and the remaining runout {6-Spades} and {5-Clubs} didn't improve Riess' hand, leaving the whole pot with Guerfi.

Riess wished the table good luck before heading to the payout desk, finishing in 21st place.

Shortly afterwards, Guerfi scored another KO as he dispatched Phil Laak.

Greenstein Eliminated by Dermer

Nível 21 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante
Barry Greenstein
Barry Greenstein

Big O

Andreas Klatt raised to 13,000 under the gun and Aron Dermer flatted in the cutoff. Barry Greenstein had last 19,000 in the big blind and he moved all in. Both Klatt and Dermer called.

Klatt folded to Dermer's pot-sized bet of 60,000 on the {k-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} flop and the showdown followed.

Greenstein: {10-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}
Derner: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Hearts}

Dermer had aces with a royal flush draw, and while Greenstein hit a set on the {7-Clubs} turn, the river failed to pair the board. The {6-Spades} left Dermer's nut flush ahead and Greenstein was eliminated early into Day 3.
