Welcome back to the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino and the 2019 World Series of Poker where thousands will arrive for Day 1a of Event #50: Monster Stack - $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em starting at 10 a.m.

Last year, Canadian Tommy Nguyen took 1st place in the corresponding event, which was good for $1,037,451 of the $8,451,000 prize pool and the coveted World Series of Poker gold bracelet.

All players who enter this tournament will sit down with 50,000 in chips which is more than triple the starting stack of last year with just 15,000 in chips. Blinds will be starting at 100/100, with antes beginning in level 3. The players will play out 11 hour-long levels, with a 20-minute break after every two levels, and a 75-minute dinner break after the sixth level (approximately 4:40 p.m).

This 6-day Monster Stack is an absolute freezeout, meaning there will be no re-entries allowed. Players must choose either Day 1a or Day 1b to play out of the two starting flights.

Late registration will be closed after level 10, (approximately 10:35 p.m). The players who progress from Day 1a and tomorrow's Day 1b will come together for Day 2 on Sunday, June 23 at 11 am.

Green Cracks Caputo's Aces in 4-Bet Pot

Nível 1 : 100/100, 0 ante

Brandon Caputo raised from middle positon, four players called, and Richard Green reraised from the big blind to 2,100. Caputo was next to act and 4-bet to 6,300 and the action folded back to Green who made the call.

The flop was {k-Spades}{9-Hearts}{5-Clubs}, and Green check-called Caputo's 4,500 bet. The {7-Spades} landed on the turn, Green checked again and called the 8,500 bet. The {k-Hearts} fell on the river and both players checked. Green tabled {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} and Caputo sighed and showed his {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} before putting his cards in the muck.

Brown Pulls in an Early Pot

Nível 1 : 100/100, 0 ante

The board read {9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{4-Spades}, and there was around 1,500 in the pot. Action checked to Irene Brown who fired in 700, she was called by Kurt Lichtman on the button and check-called by the small blind opponent.

A {6-Spades} peeled off on the turn and all three checked to the {9-Clubs} river card. The action again checked to Brown who pushed in 600 and both of her opponents swiftly threw out their hands.
