Harwood the Victim of Blind on Blind Violence

Nível 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Loni Harwood
Loni Harwood

Veselin Karakitukov limped in from the small blind and Loni Harwood popped it to 4,100 in the big blind. Back on Karakitukov and he reraised, making it 12,600 to go. Harwood called.

The flop was {K-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and Karakitukov led with a bet of 7,100. Harwood called.

Both players checked on the {K-Clubs} turn and Karakitukov lead out for 24,000 on the {2-Diamonds} river. Harwood thought for a while, said something quietly to Karakitukov, then folded her hand.

Karakitukov's neighbor then pushed his hand back to Karakitukov, requesting that he show one card. Karakitukov showed the {Q-Spades}.

"They were both the same," Harwood said. Harwood lost the pot but is still over 160,000 while Karakitukov now sits with nearly 180,000.

Kassouf Guesses Cards; Folds

Nível 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Will Kassouf raised to 3,600 in late position and the player on the button three-bet to 11,400.

"Why so much? Did you mean to make it 11.4?" Kassouf asked, then asked the dealer to touch the deck and check if it was cold.

"This might be the one," Kassouf, who was covered by his opponent, said and called. The flop came {8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{7-Spades} and Kassouf checked, then faced a bet of 15,400 by his opponent. "Do you have queens?" Kassouf said, gave it some thought and folded. He was indeed shown the {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} and replied "I had ace king, the most overrated hand in poker.

Reategui Encounters Some Resistance

Nível 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

The action folded around to Anthony Reategui in the small blind who raised it up to 3,000. Rens Feenstra called from the big blind and the flop came {a-Clubs}{10-Spades}{8-Hearts}.

Reategui led out for 1,500 and Feenstra raised to 7,000. Reategui reraised to 21,500 only to have Feenstra put in a four-bet to 55,000. Reategui is often the one to push around his opponents at the table with some aggressive play, but Feenstra decided to push back this time. Reategui let his hand go and Feenstra raked in the pot.

Lampropulos Takes From Mateos

Nível 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Maria lampropulous
Maria lampropulous

Both Adrian Mateos and Maria Lampropolus have seen their chip stacks swing up and down today, but the latter has just been able to claw some back.

Lampropulos opened the action with a raise from early position and both the player on the button and Mateos in the big blind called. The flop came down {5-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{10-Spades}, and all three players checked to see the {10-Diamonds} turn. Mateos led with a 3,600 bet and Lampropulos called before the button player folded.

On the {6-Diamonds} river, Mateos bet 5,300 only to see Lampropulos raise to 25,000. Mateos needed a couple of minutes to think through his decision before he gave up and the Argentinian Lampropulos picked up the pot.
