Tom Koral Eliminated in 9th Place ($27,233)

Nível 24 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Tom Koral
Tom Koral

Tom Koral: {x-}{x-}/{2-Hearts}
Daham Wang: {x-}{x-}/{7-Hearts}

Tom Koral completed before Daham Wang made it two bets. Tom Koral paused for a moment.

"Did that guy on the other table bust already?" After receiving confirmation, Koral made it three bets. Wang four-bet enough to put Koral all in and he called.

Their boards ran out like so:

Tom Koral: {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}/{2-Hearts}{J-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{10-Spades}/{K-Spades}
Daham Wang: {A-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}/{7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{10-Hearts}/{9-Hearts}

Wang ended up making a flush while Koral needed to make a low to stay alive. Unfortunately for him, he picked up a king on the river and that would send him to the rail in ninth place.

Jack Duong: {x-}{x-} / {6-Spades}{5-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} / {x-}

Chris Vitch checked fourth street and Jack Duong bet. Jerry Wong raised and Dan Matsuzuki folded. Vitch and Duong called. Duong checked fifth street, Wong bet, and Vitch called.

On sixth street, Duong checked, Wong bet, and Vitch raised. Duong called and Wong made it three bets. Vitch called.

"It's not capped, is it?" asked Duong before moving all in for 48,000. Both players called.

Wong check-called a bet on seventh street and all cards were exposed.

Vitch showed {a-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{8-Spades} for a pair of eights and a six perfect. Wong showed {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} for a set of nines. Duong showed {a-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} for a six-five low and was eliminated.

On fifth street, Scott Bohlman bet and Andrew Kelsall raised. Tom Koral folded and Bohlman called. Kelsall bet on sixth street and Bohlman called. Both players checked seventh street.

Bohlman showed {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{7-Hearts} for aces up with no low and Kelsall flashed {3-}{2-} in Bohlman's direction before mucking.

Kelsall was left with around two big bets, and two hands later he was eliminated at the hands of Daham Wang.

Mike Watson Eliminated in 12th Place ($22,365)

Nível 23 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Mike Watson
Mike Watson

Andrew Kelsall was holding the {A-Spades} and he raised over the completion from Scott Bohlman holding the {5-Clubs}. Mike Watson then made it three bets with the {4-Spades}. Bohlman folded quickly while Kelsall put in the 86,000 total to put Watson all in. Watson called. Here's how their board ran out:

Mike Watson: {2-Diamonds}{6-Spades}/{4-Spades}{2-Spades}{9-Clubs}{10-Clubs}/{4-Diamonds}
Andrew Kelsall: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}/{A-Spades}{10-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{9-Spades}/{9-Hearts}

On seventh, Kelsall paired his nine, giving him two pair. That left Watson looking for a two to stay alive, but his seventh was a {4-Diamonds}. It only gave him a worse two pair and left him heading to rail.

For his run in this event, Watson will collect $22,365.

Koral Rivers a Flush to Double Through Watson

Nível 23 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Tom Koral
Tom Koral

We got to the table on sixth street with both players about to sweat their final cards.

Tom Koral: {5-Hearts}{10-Hearts} / {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{6-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Mike Watson: {7-Clubs}{8-Spades} / {6-Spades}{9-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{5-Clubs}

"You want to know if you can have all of them?" Watson asked Koral, referring to a fourth ten, which could potentially have improved Koral to quads. Koral nodded and Watson showed a {9-Diamonds} and failed to improve on his nine-high straight.

Koral flipped over the {4-Hearts} to complete his flush and scooped the pot to double up and leave Watson short.

"Tommy 'Slowroll' Koral Strikes Again"

Tom Koral: {x-}{x-}/{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}/{x-}
Mike Watson: {x-}{x-}/{2-Spades}{5-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{10-Spades}/{x-}

Tom Koral completed and Mike Watson called over his bring-in.

On fourth, Watson checked. Koral bet and Watson called. On fifth, Koral checked. Watson bet and Koral called.

On sixth street, Koral bet and Watson called. On seventh, Koral moved all in and Watson thought for a bit before he called. Koral showed {A-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for an ace-high flush and it was good for him to take down the pot and double as Watson mucked.

"Tommy 'Slowroll' Koral strikes again," Scott Bohlman said. Earlier in the day, Bohlman was trying to get the nickname Tommy 'Slowroll' Koral to stick, but there was no slowroll for Koral in this hand. "It's gonna stick," Bohlman continued.

"He should've said missed low and turned it up," Andrew Kelsall said. Koral just smile and raked in the pot.

Vitch Looking for the Trifecta and Title Defense with 15 Remaining in Event #64: $10,000 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship

Chris Vitch
Chris Vitch

It's a feat only accomplished by three people in the post-Moneymaker era; three bracelets in three years. First was Allen Cunningham, then was Matt Matros and finally Loren Klein, achieving the feat just this year. Chris Vitch has put himself in prime position to become the fourth player to do it. With only 14 people standing in his way, and after bringing the chip lead into Day 3 of Event #64: $10,000 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship, Vitch has a very strong chance to lock up his third WSOP bracelet and the $364,387 first place prize.

But it won't be easy. Among those still left in contention are bracelet winners Bryce Yockey, Scott Bohlman, Ken Aldridge, Jesse Martin, Tom Koral, and Jack Duong. And there's also a cast of characters who are hungry for their first bracelets, such as Andrew Kelsall, Dan Matsuzuki, Mike Watson, Jerry Wong, Andrew Rennhack, Daham Wang, Joseph Michael, and Roland Israelashvili. With such a tough field remaining nothing is certain for Vitch.
