Daniel Negreanu managed to spin his way back from crumbs but he fell back to the shortest stack. He tried to climb back again but, unfortunately for him, he raised the pot in a middle position at the same time when Eli Elezra peeled aces in the hijack. Elezra re-raised and Negreanu called for all his remaining chips.

The flop gave Negreanu some hopes to get a quarter of the pot. He still had a slim chance to scoop but the turn negated his backdoor opportunity. Negreanu hoped to catch a low card on the river to stay afloat with half of his belongings but he had to surrender it all when the appeared on the river.
