Event #60 of the World Series of Poker 2014 resumes today with 24 players still in contention for the first prize of $614,248 and the coveted WSOP gold bracelet.
Steve Sung is the chip leader with 1,132,000 and is going for his third WSOP bracelet. Sung is over 350,000 ahead of the man in second place, French pro Erwann Pecheux who has 780,000. Right on his heels, though, is third-placed Thomas Dietl from Germany with 774,000.
Other notables to look out for in the field today are Cherish Andrews, Evan McNiff, Ty Reiman, Scott Baumstein, and Zach Gruneberg. With such a talented field spread among the three remaining tables, it’s sure to be a great day of poker.

Zach Gruneberg opened to 35,000 in early position and Lue Huang moved all in. Gruneberg announced call, thinking he was the player at risk.

Alexander Maximov showed up late today and after just a few minutes was knocked out in the first hand he played.
In the hand Maximov open-shoved for 145,000 and David Bravin made the call. Maximov had live cards with after being called by the of Bravin, but the board ran out and Maximov was eliminated.
David Bravin opened and when Evan McNiff moved all in Bravin asked again for a count as he decided whether to risk the tournament life of yet another player.
He did make the call with and faced a race against the of McNiff.
The board ran out and McNiff was another victim of Bravin.
Jamie Armstrong's bustout came following back-to-back hands with Zach Gruneberg. In the first hand, Armstrong moved all in with and Gruneberg called with . The board ran out and Armstrong doubled up.
The very next hand, Armstrong again moved all in preflop and Gruneberg made the call.
