Davies continued for 35,000, Gomez called, and the turn fell. Davies bet 75,000 this time, Gomez again called and the river completed the board. Davies shoved for about 310,000 effective and sent Gomez into the tank for about 45 seconds before he called.

Daniel Negreanu's run has come to an end, with another deep result from the 2014 World Series of Poker ending in 10th place for $26,584.

From the button, Negreanu raised to 25,000. Tommy Chen reraised to 62,000 from the big blind.

"What is it, 62? I call," said Negreanu as he tossed the chips in to make the call. "OK, this could be a good hand," he continued. "Hopefully for me."

The flop was , and Chen checked. Negreanu bet 65,000, and Chen check-raised all in. Negreanu called right away with the , but was outdone by Chen's .

"Oh, and you have spades. Nice hand," said Negreanu as he saw the bad news.

The turn was the , which was followed by the on the river, and Negreanu was eliminated.

"Well, onto the PLO," Negreanu said before making his way to the payout desk. With this cash, Negreanu has now cashed five times this summer for a total of $238,894 in earnings.

Chen will now face Daniel Colman in the Round of 8.
