In 2008 and 2009, Daniel Makowsky finished in the top ten in four WSOP events including a 2nd place finish in a Pot Limit Omaha event that was good for $355,050. He started today with just shy of 25,000 in chips and has steadily been increasing his stack throughout the day. After dragging a recent pot, the native of Switzerland moved up to 365,000 which is one of the top stacks in the room.

Greg Raymer led out for a bet from the small blind and was raised by the player in the big blind. A short stacked player had exactly enough to make the call and after tanking for over a minute put the last of his chips into the center of the table. Raymer announced a raise and the player in the big blind four bet it for an additional 9,000. Raymer called and the hands were turned over.
