Greg Raymer was doing very nicely, thank you very much, cruising along on a 30k plus stack but then it all went wrong and he has just busted.
Raymer gave PokerNews the lowdown on what happened and it boiled down to a story of kings gone wrong. Raymer had them five times today and lost three of them, the significant ones.
The big one was a 20k pot to David Zeitlin when Zeitlin hit his gut-shot straight draw and then a fateful all in with versus that didn’t turn out too good for the fossil man.

Film director Frank Coraci is among the 1500-plus in the field today.
Best known for his work on a number of Adam Sandler movies, including The Wedding Singer, The Waterboy, Click and this year’s Blended, Coraci is holding his own in this six-max minefield, although he admitted to the PokerNews blogging team it has been a tough day so far.
Originally from Shirley, New York, Coraci has built his stack up close to 34k here in Las Vegas and is plugging away now into the seventh level.
Phil Laak was a bit late back from the dinner break and to compound things he couldn’t remember which table he was sat at. Eventually he was waved over by his table and given the advice another player used, text yourself what table you’re on.
Always learning something new Phil Laak.

Phil Ivey bought in pretty late and had a fairly short stack. He shoved for 3,000 over an open of 700 and got a call. Ivey had against the .
The board ran out and Ivey was looking at a much more playable stack.
Not long after though he got it in with against . Pretty good shape right?
Nope. A queen on the river took all his chips away.

Cory Waaland opened for 800 and Phil Laak, sitting to his left, moved all in for 4,800. It folded back around to Waaland who made the call.
Laak had the slight lead with , but Waaland had a bunch more chips and the .
The flop was and no help came on the turn or river for Laak and his six-max was over.
