Some Notable Chip Stacks Coming Back From Our First Break

Nível 3 : 50/100, 0 ante

Nível: 3

Blinds: 50/100

Ante:

"I'm Having a Good Time"

Nível 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

When we arrived at the table the flop was already out: {A-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}. The player under-the-gun had checked to Vamplew, who bet 300 from the under-the-gun plus one position. His opponent made it 775 to go and Vamplew called in position. The turn brought out the {2-Hearts} and this time Vamplew called a 950 bet. The river was the {5-Hearts} and the under-the-gun player checked. Vamplew bet out 1,850 and was looked up by his opponent after about a minute of thinking.

Vamplew proudly presented his {Q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for the missed flush draw. His opponent then showed his {8-Spades}{8-Hearts} and Vamplew just laughed. Vamplew, who just finished runner-up to Trevor Pope for $342,450 in event 2 ($5,000 8-handed), said "I'm having a good time" with a big smile on his face.

Mackey Loses One Right Before Break

Nível 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

James Mackey raised on the button to 125 and is called by both the small and big blinds.

The flop fell {4-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{6-Hearts}. It checked to Mackey who continued for 200 with only the small blind calling.

The small blind check raised all in on the {k-Diamonds} turn was instantly called by Mackey. The small blind turned up {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for two pair against Mackey's {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}. The river {9-Diamonds} filled up Mackey's opponent who doubled up.

Peters Exits

Nível 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

Well known Dutch player Tobias Peters has just exited the tournament area. He told us that the first big hand he lost was one where his two pair got counterfeited. He had flopped two pair with {Q-}{J-} on {A-}{Q-}{J-} but running nines gave the pot to his opponent who held {A-}{K-}. He lost his remaining chips with {A-}{Q-} against {10-}{10-}. A short tournament for Peters but we're sure we'll be seeing him again later this week.

Froehlich Gets A Timely Double

Nível 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

Action folded to Eric Froehlich in the hijack and he raised to 125. The small blind reraised to 350 and was followed with a quick all in by Froehlich. The small blind called and the hands were tabled. Froechlich held {a-Hearts}{k-} and his opponent had {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}.

The flop came {a-Spades}{q-Spades}{9-Hearts} giving both players a pair, with Froehlich in the lead. The {j-Clubs} gave his opponent two pair and Froehlich found the help he needed with the {9-Diamonds} on the river for a better two pair. This brings Froehlich back to a near starting stack.

Failla Has Chips

Nível 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

The table we just described has been broken and we spotted Will Failla (with chips) a couple of tables down. It appears he just didn't get his chips yet at the last table. Failla has to compete against Russian Team Pro Maxim Lykov and Justin Young at his new table.
