Mizrachi Cruising

Nível 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

The hand stated with the player under the gun opening to 900, before the player in late positiong bumped it up to 2,650. Michael Mizrachi was in the hijack, and eyed off both his opponent’s stacks, before raising it up to 5,525. With the action folding back to the original raiser, he moved all in for his last 11,150. The next player folded, and Mizrachi made the call.

“Show me tens,” asked Mizrachi, before his opponent rolled over his {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}. “The Grinder” then rolled over his {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}, before the dealer spread out the {3-Hearts}{4-Spades}{6-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{j-Spades}. Mizrachi was unable to take out another player, but still sits behind a big stack totalling 185,000 in chips.

"Can You Erase Everything You Just Wrote?"

Nível 5 : 200/400, 50 ante
Yevgeniy Timoshenko
Yevgeniy Timoshenko

From middle position we caught a player opening to 900, only Yevgeniy Timoshenko called in position.

The flop came down {7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and the player who opened continued with a bet of 1,100. Timoshenko called.

The turn was the {2-Diamonds} and after a bet of 3,200, Timoshenko looked in our direction and said, "Can you erase everything you just wrote?" After a few seconds he shot back, "I'm just kidding of course." And after that he folded his hand.

Even after giving up that small amount of chips, Timoshenko is sitting on just about 37,000 chips.

Piqué Falling

Nível 5 : 200/400, 50 ante
Gerard Piqué
Gerard Piqué

After almost closing in on the 100,000-chip mark in the last few levels, international soccer superstar, Gerard Pique, has slowly been losing his chips.

In a recent hand, we caught Pique call a bet of 1,800, with the board reading {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds} | {k-Diamonds}. The {3-Spades} then fell on the river, and Pique called another 2,800 bet. His opponent rolled over {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for trips.

Pique shook his head, as his cards flew into the muck. He now sits below his original starting stack.

The Armenian Express Derailed

Nível 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

With just 32 minutes left in the last level of the night, Chris "The Armenian Express" Grigorian was eliminated after turning a Broadway straight holding {a-}{10-} on a {k-}{j-}{5-}{q-} board. Unfortunately for him, his opponent held pocket queens and a {5-} paired the board on the river. With that, Grigorian's 2013 WSOP came to an end.

Cheong Chipping Up

Nível 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

Joseph Cheong is one of the very best tournament players in the world, one who goes about his day terrorizing his opponents with a barrage of three, four and five bets. It's a style that has seen him win over $8,600,000 in his relatively short career so far.

Cheong is currently up to 137,000 chips, which puts him up their with the leaders. As we were counting Cheong's towers, a Spanish blogger as us how many chips we had counted. Cheong turned around and said, "I really don't know how many," before getting back to the action. As long as their are chips to win, Cheong doesn't care how many he has, he wants them all.

Piqué On The Edge

Nível 5 : 200/400, 50 ante
Gerard Piqué
Gerard Piqué

After having a massive stack earlier on Day 1, Gerard Piqué is now getting rather short. We watched Piqué play a couple hands and here is what happened:

On the first hand, after a middle position raise to 1,250, Piqué three bet to 3,800 from the button. Action folded back to the original raiser who flatted.

The flop came down {5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} and the original raiser checked to Pique who led with a bet of 5,500. The original reraise took about 15 seconds, then reraised to 15,000 which was close to putting Piqué all in. Piqué eventually folded and the original raiser took down the pot.

On the second hand a player raised to 925 from early position and Piqué flatted. No one else called so the two went heads up to the {10-Spades}{8-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} flop. Both players checked to see the {2-Spades} on the turn where the raiser put out a bet of 1,600 and Piqué called. The river was the {A-Spades} and both players checked. The original raiser turned up his {K-Hearts}{q-Clubs} and Piqué mucked.

After those two hands, Piqué is sitting on just about 12,000 chips.

Anderson: {K-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}
Opponent: {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}

The board ran out {10-Hearts}{8-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and Anderson doubled his opponent while slipping to roughly 116,000 in chips.
