A brief opening ceremony was just held that saw tournament director Jack Effel welcome the players and both Caesars Interactive CEO Mitch Garber and One Drop CEO Catherine Bachand give brief speeches. At Garber's behest, Phil "The Unabomber" Laak then gave the traditional, "Shuffle up and deal!"
