It was a quick one, just a half-hour to grab a bite and get back to the table. In fact, cards are in the air and there are still a few empty seats about as players are still working their way back into the Amazon to continue Event #41.
Players with any extra 5,000-chip lammers at the end of Level 4 had to go ahead and cash them in before the break, so players all have their entire starting stacks in play going forward.
With late registration now closed, we're seeing a few new faces appearing at the tables to start Level 5, with Mike Sexton among them. Sexton is coming off a 16th-place finish yesterday in Event #35: $3,000 Pot-Limit Omaha. Scott Clements has arrived, too, after taking fifth in the same event last night. Jose "Nacho" Barbero, Joe Hachem, and Sorel Mizzi are also part of the group just getting their Event #35 started.
The big board is currently showing an even 400 players having registered, although the official total has yet to be finally determined. As soon as we get information regarding the field size and the prize pool we'll pass it along.

Jeff Madsen opened to 725 from under the gun and found four callers to the flop. All five checked the flop, before the small blind led out for 2,500 as the turned. Sebastian Bastian called from the big blind, and so did Madsen, and the three saw the complete the board. The small blind thought for a moment, before he threw out a bet of 6,000. Bastian quickly looked down at his cards, but mucked, before Madsen took a little longer to decide. He eventually folded, relinquishing the pot to his opponent.
“Wow!” said Madsen’s opponent, tabling his for a bluff.
“I almost called,” said Madsen, not concerned about his decision.
“Ok, no more bluffing,” added Madsen’s opponent, as he raked in the pot.

Travis Lutes raised to 600 from the cutoff, then Erica Schoenberg reraised the pot to 2,250 from the button, leaving herself just a few thousand behind. It folded back to Lutes who called, and when the flop came the pair set chips out at nearly the same instance to put Schoenberg all in.
Schoenberg had for kings while Lutes had flopped two pair with . The turn was the and river the , improving Lutes to a straight and ending Schoenberg's Event #41 near the end of Level 5.
