Day 1 of Mixed Max Set to Begin

Event #27: $3,000 No-Limit Hold'em (Mixed Max) is set to begin in 40 minutes or so with Day 1 action, and the entrants will play eight levels before bagging and tagging for the evening. In this Mixed-Max format, Day 1 will be nine-handed, Day 2 will be six-handed, and on Day 3 the remaining players will create a heads-up bracket.
Last year's winner was Frenchman Aubin Cazals, who earned $480,564 for defeating Joseph Cheong heads up. Before facing Cheong, Cazals played one the longest heads-up match in history against Warwick Mirzikinian, which forced the event to go an extra day.
We expect to see several notable players in this event, especially with the Senior's event this afternoon, and we hope to see you back here when the cards are in the air for all of your exclusive up-to-the-minute updates straight from the tournament floor.
