Nitsche All In Early

Nível 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

We didn't see how Dominik Nitsche got down to only 650 chips. However, we did see him call the all in of the only player that he had covered at the table. Nitsche held {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds} and his opponent had {q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}. The board came {4-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{3-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and Nitsche's aces are good for some much needed life support and the elimination of a player.

Allen Cunningham (from Event #12)

Coming off of his 2nd place finish in the $1,500 Pot Limit Hold'em (Event #12), Allen Cunningham was spotted on the felt in the Basilia Room. Cunningham is probably most remembered for his 4th place finish in the 2006 WSOP Main Event, the year Jamie Gold won. Is this the event where Cunningham can secure his 6th bracelet?

Sometimes You Gotta Fold

Nível 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

Taylor Paur has started well here in Event #18; getting paid off with top set will do that to a man.

On a {8-Spades}{K-Spades}{3-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} board, the player under the gun checked, as did the player to his direct left, but Paur, bet 425 into the 550 pot. The player UTG then check-raised to 1,000 and only Paur called.

The river brought the {Q-Clubs} into play and the UTG player led for 1,500. Paur raised all in for just a few chips more and was called.

Paur turned over {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} for top set, saying "Sometimes you just gotta fold," as he did so. Paur is now up to 6,400.

Xuan Liu

Xuan Liu's tournament has come to an abrupt end at the hands of Josh Fields.

The player in the hijack opened to 250, Fields called in the cutoff and Liu squeezed all in for 2,150. he hijack quickly mucked but Fields called, after dwelling on his decision for 15-20 seconds.

Fields: {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}
Liu: {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}

Liu was in a coinflip for her tournament life, but it was a coin flip she would ultimately lose. The {2-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{Q-Spades} flop gifted her outs to a Broadway straight but when the turn and river were the {8-Diamonds} and {7-Clubs} it was game over for Liu.

Ebanks Starts Well

Nível 3 : 50/100, 0 ante

Joe Ebanks has almost tripled his starting stack and is now armed with 8,400 chips. You may recall Ebanks won the $10,000 No Limit Hold'em Six-Handed tournament at last year's WSOP, defeating British superstar Chris Moorman heads-up for the bracelet.

Antonio Esfandiari has also chipped up, but not on the same scale as Ebanks. "The Magician" is sat with 3,500 chips.
