Steve Yea's stack has been steadily moving south during the last couple of levels, losing another small pot after the dinner break. The hand in question started when a player opened the hijack to 2,600. Yea then three-bet to 6,700 from the button. With the rest of the table out of the way and a call from the player who opened, it was on to the flop. Both players checked here and then also checked the turn.
On the river, Yea's opponent checked and after just a few moments, Yea fired out 11,200. A call would see Yea almost sigh as he flicked over . His opponent's was strong enough to rake in the pot and Yea took another hit to his stack.

We found recent bracelet winner Nick Schulman and a short-stacked opponent looking down at a board of .
With over 20,000 in the pot, Schulman's opponent checked and Shulman fired a bet of 9,500. Schulman's opponent tanked for over a minute before finally tossing in the calling chips.
"You got it," said Schulman, who threw away his hand. His opponent showed for a pair of aces and took down the pot.

Kurt Jewell and Jake Cody were heads up on a flop of . Jewell checked out of the big blind, and Jake Cody tossed out 7,200 from the hijack seat. Jewell called.
The turn was the , and Jewell checked again. Cody reached for a gaggle of multi-colored chips, plopping 14,900 in front of him. Jewell cooly flipped three orange T5,000 chips forward, making the call.
The completed the board, and Jewell checked a third and final time. Cody fired a third bullet worth 35,000, and Jewell immediately called. Cody turned over for a turned straight.
"Nice hand," Jewell told him.
Cody's now over 200,000 chips, while Jewell slipped to 140,000.

A player in the hijack seat opened to 2,200 and Matt Affleck three-bet to 4,600 on the button. It was then folded to John Luu in the big blind, who re-popped it to 7,500 total. The original raiser folded and Affleck tossed in a call.
The flop came and Luu quickly bet 10,000. Affleck paused and then slid his hand into the muck.
Affleck is down to 33,000.

Randy Haddox started this day as the chip leader and it seems there is no end in sight for the growth of his stack.
We caught up to see Haddox raise to 2,500 before the flop and receive a call from the player in the cutoff. The dealer produced a flop of and Haddox continued for 3,600.
His opponent from the cutoff thought for a while before making it 11,200 total. Haddox wasted no time plopping a stack of orange t5,000 chips into the center of the table. This bet was enough to put Haddox's opponent all in as he only had 21,100 behind. Haddox's opponent quickly shot his hand away and Haddox was able to increase his chip lead even further.

Paul McTaggart began today with a healthy plus-150,000 chip stack, and has been steadily adding to it all afternoon and early evening.
Just now McTaggart was raising again from early position — to 2,000 — and getting a single caller in the big blind. The pair checked the flop and turn, then when checked to after the river, a McTaggart bet was enough to claim the small pot.
He's climbed up over 280,000 now, one of the bigger stacks in the Purple section of the Amazon Room.

A player in middle position made it 2,100 to see the flop. Next to act was recent bracelet winner Ylon Schwartz who three-bet to 4,500. The rest of the table folded around to the initial raiser and he made the call.
The flop came prompting a bet of 10,000 from the middle position player. Schwartz's response was to move all in, a bet that would put his shorter stacked opponent all in. A few minutes passed and no action was made, so someone at the table called clock. The floor was called over and the middle position player was given one minute to act. After about 20 seconds the middle position player folded and Schwartz was awarded the pot.

The action was opened by the player in the under-the-gun plus one position. Marcel Luske was on his direct left when he three-bet to 4,800. Folded back around to the aggressor and they made the call.
The flop would see the play checked to Luske, who bet 7,000. A call would usher in the on the turn. This time when Luske's opponent checked, Luske would bet 17,000. This amount was enough to send Luske's opponent into the tank. Eventually he decided to fold and sent the pot to Luske.
"I think you folded ace-king," said Luske as he raked in the pot.
For your information, Luske is the all-time Dutch tournament earner, having just shy of $4 million in winnings on his resume. That includes two very deep runs in the Main Event in both 2003 and 2004.
