Biao Ding and John Armbrust got their chips in with the latter as the player at risk for 285,000.
John Armbrust: 10♦10♣
Biao Ding: A♠J♠
The 10♠6♠5♠ flop gave Armbrust top set while Ding had the nut flush. Armbrust locked up the double with the 6♣ turn to make the J♣ river meaningless.
One hand later, the blinds were up and Ding jammed the last seven blinds. Jesse Lonis called for fewer than that in the cutoff.
Jesse Lonis: K♣9♣
Biao Ding: J♣J♠
"Oh wow," Lonis instantly exclaimed and was rather surprised how strong Ding was.
The A♣9♠8♥7♠J♦ board provided just one inferior pair for Lonis and he fell in 26th place.

Rene Majed opened to 40,000 and Sorel Mizzi then jammed on the button for 245,000. Artur Martirosian in the big blind went all-in over the top and Majed folded.
Sorel Mizzi: A♥10♠
Artur Martirosian: K♦K♣
The K♠9♣4♠ flop left Mizzi on the ropes and he asked for a jack. That's what indeed came on the J♣ turn but another jack on the J♦ river ended his run in 24th place.

Ivan Deyra pushed all-in from the button for 175,000 and Nicolas Santos reshoved in the small blind. Wai Lo asked for a count and then called all-in from the big blind after glancing at the info screen twice.
Ivan Deyra: A♥9♦
Wai Lo: A♠K♦
Nicolas Santos: Q♥Q♦
Lo took the lead on the K♣10♣6♦ flop and Deyra was drawing dead on the A♣ turn. Santos needed a queen or jack but the 10♦ river put a hefty dagger into his stack, as Lo doubled through him for 770,000.

Felipe Ramos pushed a short stack when it was folded to him and Masashi Oya glanced at just one card in the big blind, then called when he found an ace.
Ramos tabled the K♦3♦ and Oya first exposed the A♥, then the second card ... which happened to be the A♦!
Oya was very excited while Ramos said "calm down ... just see what happens," albeit with a smile on the face.
Ramos was drawing slim on the 8♣7♦2♥ flop and the 2♣ turn ended his run, which was made official with the 5♥ river.

At the end of the previous level, Dongwuk Moon raised to 40,000 and earned two callers in Oktay Koeysu on the button as well as Yuval Bronshtein in the big blind. On the J♣J♥4♥ flop, Bronshtein check-folded to a bet of 65,000 by Moon and a call by Koeysu.
It was then Koeysu who led the 10♦ turn and they checked the 6♦ river. Koeysu tabled 6♠4♠ but Moon had the superior 8♠8♥.
From there on, Moon won another two bigger pots against Koeysu and jumped well ahead of the German.
