Jessica Teusl raised to 18,000 just before the blinds went up and Troy Quenneville just flat-called from one seat over on the button. Andrei Shapovalov then moved all-in for around 350,000 and Teusl folded, Quenneville snap-called and caught his table neighbour with the fingers in the cookie jar.

Renji Mao jammed out of the small blind into the big blind of Rafael Robles and the latter happily called with the A♠A♣. Mao only had Kx4x and the "standard cooler" as joked upon by other players at the table brought no upset.

Robles had little to fear on the A♦K♣Q♥8♥4♣ runout.

Several other players were not as fortunate as the field dropped to 121 hopefuls.

Ori Elul raised to 35,000 out of the small blind and kept one single T-1,000 chip behind. Marcelo Betto slowly peeled his card and Elul sweated with him, peeking in as granted by the Brazilian which prompted some laughter at the table.

Betto then sighed, eventually tossed chips forward and they agreed to get it in preflop.

Fergenbaum and Istomin Knocked out

Matthew Fergenbaum jammed pocket fours with a short stack and Jessica Teusl just called out of the small blind. Aleksei Istomin jammed over the top and Teusl snap-called with the K♥K♠, catching Istomin with the inferior 8♦8♠. The board was all paint and Istomin saw his stack reduced to fumes.

Soon after, Istomin raised to 20,000 with 1,000 behind and Ljubomir Josipovic called.

The A♠10♦8♥ flop saw Istomin all-in with the A♥Q♠ and Josipovic had pulled ahead with the 10♥8♦. Nothing changed with the 4♥ turn and 6♦ river, sending Istomin to the rail as well.

Josipovic added further chips after to nearly reach seven figures.

Ljubomir Josipovic opened to 15,000 and was called by David D'Alessandro on the button. Behind them, Greg Yates raised big out of a stack of around 140,000 and Josipovic quickly tossed in his big T-25,000 chips, D'Alessandro folded. Yates was then officially all-in and they turned them over.

A few hands ago, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier had jammed a short stack from early position and Terence Kluczkowski folded the 6♠6♦ face-up when in the big blind, Grospellier flashed ace-king.

"Whenever I get a bad beat on GG, I see your face ... I really want to take your chips," Jessica Teusl joked in table chat then.

Soon after, Grospellier jammed for 45,000 with the 3♣3♦ and Teusl looked him up with the 7♥7♣.

The Q♣5♣5♠A♣J♣ board provided no help to the dominated pair and Teusl had her wish granted almost immediately.

Edward Franklin got his chips in with the dominated 8♥8♣ and had a mountain to climb, as Anton Smirnov tabled the Q♣Q♥.

The A♦Q♦6♥ flop left Franklin on very thin ice and it was all over with the 7♦ turn and 10♠ river.

Shortly thereafter, Justin Bonomo was spotted on his way out of the same table as well. His cards were mucked already and the pot was shipped to Brazil's Jorge Ribeiro, who claimed the pot with the K♦7♦. According to Nicholas Unaro, Bonomo had defended the 6x5x and flopped an open-ended straight draw on 10♣7♠4♦. The 6♦ turn gave Bonomo an inferior pair and the 2♠ river was a blank.
