Hinrichsen Extinguishes Burns

Nível 6 : 400/800, 100 ante
Kahle Burns
Kahle Burns

Kahle Burns opened the pot with a raise, Andrew Hinrichsen three-bet, Burns four-bet, and then Hinrichsen five-bet before Burns just called to see the flop come down {Q-Clubs}{10-Spades}{8-Diamonds}. Hinrichsen put Burns all in for his last 37,000 or so, and Burns quickly called with the {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}. Hinrichsen had the {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}.

The turn was the {Q-Spades} to keep Burns in front, but the {A-Hearts} delivered a fatal blow to him and he was out of the tournament.

Danzer Busts High Roller; Shot Clock Off and Shack-Harris Gets Final Chance

Nível 6 : 400/800, 100 ante
Will Danzer hold?
Will Danzer hold?

George Danzer opened with a raise to 1,600 from middle position, and Fabian Quoss called on the button. Greg Merson called from the big blind, and the flop came down {Q-Hearts}{9-Spades}{5-Hearts}. Merson checked, and Danzer bet 3,600. After Quoss folded, Merson check-raised to 9,200. Danzer went all in for around 30,000, and Merson made the call.

Merson tabled top pair with the {Q-Spades}{9-Hearts}. Danzer had one over card to the board and a flush draw with the {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}.

The turn and river were the {3-Clubs} and {7-Spades}, respectively, and Danzer was eliminated.

With Danzer's elimination, his 2014 World Series of Poker has come to a close. It was certainly one for the ages, though, as the German earned three gold bracelets and currently leads the WSOP Player of the Year race by 116.8 points. But, Danzer still has a sweat.

With Brandon Shack-Harris still in the 2014 WSOP Asia-Pacific Main Event and needing a second-place finish or better to steal the tittle at the buzzer, it's right down to the wire with this one. At the time of this writing, the Main Event has been cut down to 24 players with Shack-Harris wielding a top-10 stack.

Egan Ousts an Octo-Niner

Nível 6 : 400/800, 100 ante
Russell Thomas
Russell Thomas

Jason Pritchard opened the button with a raise and former Octo-Niner Russell Thomas three-bet jammed for his last 15,000 from the small blind holding the {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}. Unfortunately for him, Michael Egan woke up with {k-}{k-} in the big blind. Pritchard got out of the way, the board ran out clean, and that was all she wrote for Thomas, who sought consolation from his girlfriend, Kitty Kuo, on the rail.

Duhamel Bounces Tran

Nível 6 : 400/800, 100 ante
Ti Tran
Ti Tran

We're not sure how it happened, but Ti Tran was knocked down to just 1,400 when he got it all in preflop against Jonathan Duhamel.

Duhamel: {a-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}
Tran: {q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

Tran needed some help, but instead it was Duhamel who hit the {j-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} flop. The {5-Spades} turn improved Duhamel to a full house, which left Tran drawing dead. The meaningless {Q-Diamonds} paired Tran, and he couldn't help but laugh that it was too little too late.

Gray Gutted

Nível 7 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Jason Gray
Jason Gray

Jason Gray, who was crippled earlier in the night when his aces fell to Asa Smith's kings, just got his stack all in on the turn against the same opponent. The board read {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and the following cards were turned up:

Gray: {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Smith: {8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}

Gray had turned a flush, but he was drawing dead as Smith had flopped a full house. The meaningless {6-Spades} was put out on the river for good measure and Gray exited the tournament area.
