Torbergsen Takes from Sheng

A raising war broke out between Sun Sheng and Marius Torbergsen. The action had started with a raise by Mikita Badziakouski, who quickly got out of the way when the fireworks started. Torbergsen three-bet to 2,100 and Sheng then four-bet to 6,300 in the big blind. Torbergsen five-bet to 14,400 and Sheng called.

On the flop, Sheng checked and Torbergsen's bet worth 8,500 scooped the pot.

Soon after, Sheng squeezed to 5,200 and Torbergsen then moved all in to force yet another fold.

Mustapha Kanit has been very vocal and joking while not being involved in a hand, and joked "I gonna bust ... " looked around the room and finished with "I gonna bust Sergio Aido." For this to happen, Kanit or Aido would have to move tables.

Kanit got just back in time to see Erik Seidel scoop a small pot with against Wai Kin Yong on a board of . Seidel had check-called a bet of 700 on the flop before turn and river were checked through.

Then, Kanit himself won a pot against Yong, but the Italian hasn't moved much yet from the start.

Bryn Kenney, who finished runner-up to Wai Kin Yong back in November, just showed up after having arrived a few hours ago. Kenney took his seat, but even before he could get some cards the level came to an end. As a result, the players were sent into their first 10-minute break of the day and headed to the buffet outside of the tournament area.

The atmosphere at the table varies between no table talk, plenty of emotions by Mustapha Kanit, some small talk and the raffling of chips. Winfred Yu joked earlier that he would use "Facebook live" from his phone when he got all the chips and just did the first step at improving his stack.

Yu three-bet to 2,500 on the button and Mikita Badziakouski four-bet to 7,000 from one seat over in the small blind. The action folded back to Yu and he announced all in for just over 50,000. Badziakouski had less than that and checked his cards several times, shook his head and elected to fold.

Juanda Shoves Into Kempe; Ivey Wins a Small Pot

On the three-way turn of , Rainer Kempe bet 1,700 in the big blind and John Juanda called, Marcus Yi Lim folded. The fell on the river and Kempe now checked. Juanda moved all in and Kempe didn't ask for a count before folding.

One hand later, Yi Lim opened to 1,000 and Kempe called in the small blind, as did Phil Ivey in the big blind. The flop came and Ivey's bet worth 800 won the pot. "You can rebuy," another player at the table joked to Ivey. "Yeah I know, once," Ivey replied as he remains with a short stack.

Patgorski and Cheong Let Go

In the cutoff, Peter Chen made it 1,100 to go and Cheok Leng Cheong three-bet to 4,000 on the button. The blinds both let go and Chen then four-bet to 13,100. Cheong carefully checked his stack and folded.

At the same time one table over, Gabe Patgorski on the button and Ying Sheng Tang headed to the turn. Tang bet 1,600 out of the big blind and Patgorski called before the then appeared on the river. Tang now made it 4,500 to go, almost half of what Patgorski had left.

One minute passed and Patgorski opted to fold and wait for another spot in order to get his stack into the middle of the table. Down to around 20 big blinds, this may happen very soon.

Kuznetsov Spikes River to Double

"He opened under the gun and called my three-bet," Timofey Kuznetsov said when Mustapha Kanit walked over from one table over to see an all in showdown in the process. Kuznetsov had been in the small blind and got his last 16,425 into the middle on a flop reading . Yu looked him up and had flopped a pair and a flush draw while Kuznetsov was only on a flush draw.

After the turn, Kuznetsov was drawing to clubs only and Yu stood up from his chair and said "no club!" That wish fell on deaf ears, as the river completed the board to give Kuznetsov the better hand.
