Nível 28 : 35,000/70,000, 8,750 ante
Artem Vezhenkov
Artem Vezhenkov

Artem "veeea" Vezhenkov was on the button and saw action folded to him. He shoved for 875,000 and NLZWERVERNL called in the big blind.

Artem "veeea" Vezhenkov: {a-Clubs}{8-Hearts}
NLZWERVERNL: {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}

Vezhenkov picked up a pair of eights on the flop {k-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs} but that was as close as he would get as the turn {6-Diamonds} and river {j-Diamonds} completed the runout, resulting in his elimination from the tournament in 19th place.

"zivziv" Gets Another Knockout; Holz Gone in 21st

Nível 27 : 30,000/60,000, 7,500 ante
"zivziv"
"zivziv"

Hand #1: Action folded around to "Tyrion2205" on the button and they shoved for 220,000. "zivziv" called in the small blind.

"Tyrion2205": {k-Hearts}{8-Spades}
"zivziv": {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

"Tyrion2205" was drawing dead by the turn on the runout {k-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{6-Spades} and they were eliminated in 22nd place. Meanwhile, "zivziv" has now chipped up to 7.9 million after the pot, further increasing their chip lead in the tournament.

Hand #2: Moments later on another table, Pavel "silentm0de" Plesuv opened to 120,000 in the cutoff and Fedor "CrownUpGuy" Holz three-bet jammed for 975,000 in the small blind. Plesuv called and the two were off to the races.

Fedor "CrownUpGuy" Holz: {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}
Pavel "silentm0de" Plesuv: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

Holz was ahead through the flop {q-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{6-Hearts} and turn {j-Diamonds}, but was unable to fade the 10 outer on the river {a-Diamonds}, which gave Plesuv a pair of aces and eliminated Holz in 21st place on the final hand before the first break of the day.

Rough Orbit for Pedes; Antasky Busts as "zivziv" Regains Chip Lead

Nível 26 : 25,000/50,000, 6,000 ante
"zivziv"
"zivziv"

Hand #1: Daris "DEX888" Pedes opened to 110,000 in the hijack and "totti1992100" three-bet shoved for 583,000 in the small blind. "iamivar" reraised all in, four-bet shoving for 1.1 million, and Pedes wasted no time calling both players' shoves.

totti199210: {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}:
iamivar: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}:
Daris "DEX888" Pedes: {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

The flop {a-Clubs}{9-Spades}{4-Clubs} was exactly what Pedes did not want to see, giving "iamivar" a pair of aces. The turn {q-Diamonds} and river {6-Hearts} finished the runout with "iamivar" scooping both pots with aces up.

Hand #2: On the very next hand, "zivziv" raised to 100,000 in the hijack and received calls from "iamivar" on the button and Ilya "Leqenden" Anatsky in the big blind.

The flop came {3-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Clubs} and Anatasky shoved for 445,000. "zivziv" called to put action onto "iamivar," who shoved for 2.7 million. "zivziv" called for 300,000 less.

Ilya "Leqenden" Anatsky: {j-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
"zivziv": {3-Hearts}{3-Clubs}
"iamivar": {5-Spades}{5-Hearts}

"zivziv" had flopped a set of threes and the turn {9-Hearts} and river {8-Diamonds} resulted in the three treys remaining best to earn both pots, winning a pot of 5.5 million and leaving "iamivar" with 372,000 just a hand after they scooped in a three-way all in.

Hand #3: Two hands after that, "Tyrion2205" saw action folded to them on the button and jammed for 779,000. Pedes reshoved for 1.05 million in the small blind and saw no further action

"Tyrion2205": {a-Spades}{4-Clubs}
Daris "DEX888" Pedes: {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}

Pedes had his opponent dominated but the flop {2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and turn {7-Diamonds} had the pair lined up for a chop. Then, the river came {4-Hearts} to give "Tyrion2205" a better two pair and score the double, leaving Pedes with only a handful of big blinds remaining.

$177,965 Is Up for Grabs Today in Day 2 of SCOOP-73-H: $2,100 NLHE [Sunday Warm-Up SE]

Stefan Schillhabel

Arguably the biggest Monday in online poker history sees a full slate of Day 2s from the largest events on the internet get underway at 1:05 p.m. ET/7:05 p.m. CET. One such event on that list is Event #73-H: $2,100 NLHE [Sunday Warm-Up SE], where 37 players will look to play down to a winner, with that person set to earn a payday of $177,965.

Sunday’s Day 1 concluded after nine hours of play, and 501 entries generated a seven-figure prize pool of $1,002,000 to obliterate its $750,000 guaranteed prize pool by more than 33%. Those nine hours of play took the tournament into the 24th level of play and well into the money after 62 places got paid.

Leading the final 37 into Day 2 is zivziv (3.68 million), with ”boerni21” (3.19 million), Stefan “baeks22” Schillhabel (2.93 million), Mustapha “lasagnaaammm” Kanit (2.25 million), and Pavel “silentm0de” Plesuv (2.11) million rounding out the top five as the only five players in the tournament with stacks greater than 2 million.

However, the entire field is full of with forces to be reckoned with. Fedor “CrownUpGuy” Holz (1.82 million) also enters the day with a top-10 stack, and players like Christian “eisenhower1” Jeppsson” (1.63 million) and Alex “dynoalot” Difelice (1.59 million) also have above-average stacks.

Viktor “papan9_p$” Ustimov (193,441), Julian “nailuj90” Stuer (179,960), and Ivan “Negriin” Luca (155,983) find themselves at the bottom of the counts, squeaking into Day 2 with what will be less than six big blinds when play resumes in Level 24 with blinds at 17,500/35,000 and an ante of 4,500. Though everybody left in the tournament has a full day’s worth of work ahead of them, these three have even more work cut out for them if they are to find their way to glory.

Levels will remain 20 minutes in length until the completion of Level 36. At that time, they will increase to a half-hour each. All returning players have guaranteed a payday of at least $5,910, and anybody making the final table will earn a minimum of $17,185. Play will continue until a winner has been declared and the first-place prize of $177,965 has been claimed.

PokerNews will be providing coverage of the tournament all the way to the end. Be sure to hang around.
