Welcome to the picturesque 'Garden City' of Vina del Mar, where Casino Enjoy Viña del Mar plays host to the 2017 PokerStars Festival Chile. This series features a five-day $500,000 Guaranteed Main Event and the $3,300 High Roller, which is slated to conclude today.
Team PokerStars Pro, Leo Fernandez, is currently heads-up for the High Roller title and will be looking to make back-to-back deep runs in both feature events in Chile. The Argentinian native already holds two High Roller titles, as well as a Latin America Poker Tour crown, with just over $2 million in live tournament earnings in his career.
Day 1a of the $1,650 Main Event begins at 12:00 pm ET. Everyone will start out with 25,000 in chips and will play ten, 60-minute levels before bagging their chips for Day 2 on Thursday. Players who make it through today will enjoy a day off while Day 1b plays out on Wednesday, May 24th. Unlimited re-entries are available until the start of level 9 on either day, so there is lots of time to run up a stack before registration closes. There will be a 20-minute break every two rounds, and an 80-minute dinner break at the end of level 6, at approximately 6:40 p.m.
Day 2 will resume on Thursday, May 25th at noon, at which time the journey to crowning a champion carries on through Saturday, May 27th.

Argentinian pro, Richard Dubini, has pulled up a seat early on, and looks to add to his decorated poker resume.
Dubini is a three-time High Roller champion, with two wins in Argentina and one in Brazil, and also holds a European Poker Tour title from Barcelona. He took a shot in the High Roller yesterday but the cards didn't fall his way. Dubini has just shy of a million dollars in earnings, so a deep run in this event could potentially allow him to reach that milestone.

Play was heads-up with about 2,000 in the pot and the board reading .
Lucas Baruc was in the hijack seat and checked. Oscar Alache was in the cutoff and bet 1,050, and Baruc called.
The turn was the and Baruc checked again. Alache bet 2,500 and Baruc called.
The river was the and both players checked.
Baruc showed for a pair of kings with an ace kicker, and Alache frustratingly flashed a queen before releasing his cards.
