Tsugunari Toma

Ben Heath raised to 60,000 under the gun, Tsugunari Toma three-bet shoved 430,000 from the big blind and Heath instantly called.

Ben Heath: {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}
Tsugunari Toma: {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}

Toma found himself on the brink of elimination and the {7-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts}{9-Spades}{8-Clubs} rundown meant sayonara for the Japanese high roller. He said his goodbyes in 11th place and received €43,400.

Guillaume Pau Davy Eliminated in 12th Place (€38,100)

Nível 23 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Guillaume Pau Davy
Guillaume Pau Davy

The action was on Guillaume Pau Davy on the button and he moved all in for 320,000. Roman Emelyanov glanced over out of the big blind to see the stack of the Frenchman and called.

Guillaume Pau Davy: {K-Hearts}{3-Hearts}
Roman Emelyanov: {A-Spades}{10-Spades}

Davy had two live cards, but was drawing to a chop only after the {J-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} flop and {7-Clubs} turn. A blank {5-Clubs} river sent Davy to the rail in 12th place for €38,100.

It has been quite a week for the 21-year old, who started playing poker one year ago and attended a boot camp of Johan "YoH ViraL" Guilbert on Malta earlier this year. Davy min-cashed the Main Event and decided to jump into the High Roller, turning that into quite a nice payday.

JC Alvarado Eliminated in 13th Place (€38,100)

A raise by Kfir Ivgi on the button saw JC Alvarado move all in from the small blind for what appeared to be around 600,000 and Ivgi wasted no time in asking for a count, but called instantly.

JC Alvarado: {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}
Kfir Ivgi: {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}

The board ran out {9-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts}{8-Spades} and Alvarado scored the second High Roller cash of the festival, ending up in 13th place for €38,100 this time around.

Igor Yaroshevskyy Eliminated in 14th Place (€34,300)

Nível 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Igor Yaroshevskyy
Igor Yaroshevskyy

Igor Yaroshevskyy moved all in for his last 226,000 and the action reached Roman Emelyanov in the big blind, who peeked at his cards and also announced all in with the superior stack.

Igor Yaroshevskyy: {J-Spades}{8-Spades}
Roman Emelyanov, {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}

The {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop gave Emelyanov top pair and the {2-Spades} turn left Yaroshevskyy drawing dead, making the {3-Diamonds} river a formality. Yaroshevskyy headed to the payout desk to collect €34,300 for his efforts and all remaining 13 players now have €38,100 guaranteed.

David Peters Eliminated in 15th Place (€34,300)

Nível 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
David Peters
David Peters

David Peters moved all in from the cutoff and Hossein Ensan on the button asked for a count. The shove was for 182,000 and Ensan indeed called. Preben Stokkan in the big blind raised, pushing forward his green T-25,000 chips, and Ensan folded.

David Peters: {K-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Preben Stokkan: {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}

On the {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} flop that gave Peters a straight, several players started giggling and the laughs grew some more as the {J-Diamonds} turn and {A-Hearts} river run out gave Stokkan a full house. "You are supposed to just call and let him flop top pair," Orpen Kisacikoglu said and Stokkan replied "I was thinking about it."

Despite flopping the nut straight, Peters was eliminated in 15th place and takes home €34,300.

Christopher Kruk Eliminated in 16th Place (€30,500)

Christopher Kruk

Christopher Kruk raised to 100,000 from the hijack and the action reached David Peters in the big blind. Peters moved all in and Kruk checked the other table, waiting for his shot clock to run down to two seconds before calling it off since there was a small pay jump between finishing 16th and 15th.

Christopher Kruk: {Q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
David Peters: {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts}

The flop of {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}{3-Spades} improved Kruk, but he fell behind on the {J-Spades} turn. Another spade would result in a split pot, yet the {6-Clubs} river sent the Canadian to the rail in 16th place for €30,500.

Who Will Win the €10,300 PokerStars Championship High Roller in Prague?

Sergio Aido
Sergio Aido

At 12:30 p.m. local time, the third and final day of the PokerStars Championship Prague €10,300 High Roller will kick off in the Hilton Prague. It's the last day of the first and only season of the PokerStars Championship, as the popular EPT-brand will be making a comeback in 2018. Along with the Main Event, the High Roller will play down to a winner today.

After two long days of ten hours each, a field of 256 players has been whittled down to the last 16 hopefuls. Each of them is already guaranteed at least triple their investment (€30,500), but the lion's share of the €2,483,200 prize pool is still up for grabs, including the first place price of €498,000.

Sergio Aido is coming in as the perennial favorite to win it all. The Spaniard had a big Day 2 at the tables and brings 2,147,000 to Day 3, enough for a towering lead over his nearest adversary Danny Tang (1,593,000). The highly experienced 29-year old Spanish poker pro dragged a massive pot from Christopher Kruk late on Day 2 to claim his spot at the top of the standings. Aido needs to finish 7th or better in this event to surpass the $6 million dollars in lifetime winnings. More than $3 million of that came in 2017 alone and a win here would cap off Aido's monster year in style.

As expected, the remaining field is stacked with big names from Europe and several from across the pond. EPT12 Prague Main Event winner Hossein Ensan (1,130,000), Ben Heath (966,000) and Viliyan Petleshkov (939,000) round out the top 5. Preben Stokkan (778,000) and JC Alvarado (692,000) both finished runner-up in earlier High Rollers this week and get another shot at a trophy. The bottom of the pack is rounded out by David Peters (515,000), Day 1 chipleader Roman Emelyanov (446,000), Tsugunari Toma (292,000) and the aforementioned Kruk, who survived the big clash but starts with the shallowest stack (186,000).

The action resumes at 12.30 p.m. local time with just under seven minutes remaining in level 20, with blinds at 8,000/16,000 with a running ante of 2,000. All levels last 60 minutes each. The PokerNews live reporting team will be on hand from start to finish to provide all the updates from the floor as we crown the last-ever PokerStars Championship High Roller winner.
