From under the gun plus one, Maria Lampropulos raised to 9,000. Action folded to Salvatore Camarda in the cutoff and he 3-bet to 19,000. The button and both blinds folded and action was on Lampropulos again. She 4-bet to 43,000 with 78,500 behind.
Camarda didn't need long to 5-bet to 91,000. Lampropulos tanked for 5 minutes before Dmitry Yurasov asked for the clock. The floor came over and gave Lampropulos a minute to act on her hand. The clock was counted down to zero and Lampropulos' hand was declared dead.
The ticket of Aleksandr Ovechkin appeared among the bustouts and the Russian had started the day with a very healthy stack of 65 big blinds, however that has since been reduced to zero. Akin Tuna was kind enough to provide the details, as it was him that scored a big pot to bust Ovechkin.
According to Tuna, he three-bet the raise of the Russian from 11,000 to 34,000 and Ovechkin called. On the flop Tuna bet 40,000 and was called before betting another 100,000 on the turn, Ovechkin called once more. After the river that paired the board, Tuna moved all in and Ovechkin called with pocket queens for a full house only to see Tuna turn over pocket kings for the better full house.
Tsugunari Toma raised to 10,000 on the button and Luigi Serricchio moved all in for 118,000 from one seat over in the small blind, which Toma called after some consideration.
Luigi Serricchio:
Tsugunari Toma:
Toma stood up from his chair and loudly demanded for a seven, which he repeated on each street of the board . After the river blanked, Toma was all smiles and Mikita Badziakouski on the same table said just two words: "No seven." Toma laughed and raked in the pot.
Benjamin Rolle raised to 9,000 in the cutoff and was called by Tonny Krijn on the button and Victor Choupeaux in the big blind. On a flop of , Choupeaux checked and Rolle continued for 14,000, which just Krijn called.
After the turn, Rolle made it 45,000 to go and Krijn called before the fell on the river. Rolle emptied the clip and bet 75,000, and that sent Krijn in the think tank. He called eventually and Rolle tapped the table, said "good call" and showed for a bluff. Krijn flipped over for top pair only and claimed a big pot. The table broke right after.
Among those to bust before the money were Morten Klein, Ivan Gabrieli and Joni Jouhkimainen. The clock was then stopped and all dealers were instructed to wait before dealing the next hand. Once the next table broke and the number of remaining players was verified, the action recommenced with two hands at a time on each table.
With the board reading , small blind Kevin Stani had a bet of 28,000 in front of him. Samuel "€urop€an" Vousden, seated in late position, tanked for a fair bit before asking if Stani had a good hand.
"I had a bad hand," Stani said.
Vousden wasn't a believer when Stani implied he now had a good hand.
"Do you have a lady?" Vousden asked. Stani double checked his hand and confirmed.
Still, Vousden wasn't convinced and tossed in a 5,000-chip to call.
Stani mucked instantly, and so did Vousden while raking in the chips.
We ran into MCOP champion Hakim Zoufri who busted earlier today. He told us he was up to 350,000 at one point on Day 2, but started Day 3 short after a series of unfortunate hands.
He shoved with his last 10 blinds today, making a move early on with . The big blind woke up with and Zoufri didn't improve.
