Welcome Back for Day 2 of the PCA Super High Roller

PCA Bahamas Atlantis
PCA Bahamas Atlantis

Just when you thought things were about to settle down in the Bahamas after a champion was crowned in the PSPC, the action ramped back up again as some of the best poker players in the world got together for the $100,000 Super High Roller. It's an exclusive event that kicks off the PCA every year, and fans from all over the world will have someone to cheer for.

Day 1 wrapped up last night after a full eight levels were completed. Of the 56 total entries thus far, just 33 players bagged up chips and will have a seat locked up for the start of Day 2. Late registration will remain open until the cards get in the air, leaving time for others to re-enter or take their first shot with a stack of 250,000 chips — just over 40 big blinds.

Leading the way after the opening day is European Henrik Hecklen and PokerStars Team Pro Igor Kurganov. They were the only two players to surpass the one million chip mark with 1,264,000 and 1,050,000 respectively. Some other big names to make it through with a healthy stack include Steve O'Dwyer (889,000), Sam Greenwood (792,000), Dominik Nitsche (679,000), and Talal Shakerchi (587,000) who is looking for back-to-back deep runs in high rollers here at the PCA.

The action is slated to get underway at 12:30 p.m. at which point the registration period will close. The blinds will resume on level 9 at 3,000/6,000 with a 6,000 big blind ante. A total of eight levels in on tap for today with 60-minute levels and a 20-minute break after every two levels.

One table will also be moved to the feature table to be broadcast on the livestream which can be found on Twitch. The hole cards will be available and on a 30-minute delay. You can also follow all of the action here as the PokerNews live reporting team will bring you coverage straight from the tournament floor.
