Action folded around to a shot stacked Maurice Hawkins in the cutoff. He moves all in for 5,500 total. Next to act is Ankush Mandavia and he calls the shove. Everyone else folds leaving the two players heads up going to a showdown.
Hawkins:
Mandavia:
The flop comes down giving Hawkins a big lead as the only player with a diamond. The turn is the though, and that takes the lead away from him as Mandavia makes a pair of aces. Hawkins begins to push forward his signaling that he can still make a flush. And while he doesn't make a flush on the river, he does make trips, and that gives him the best hand and allows him to double up through Mandavia, giving him right around 12,000 chips.

We missed the elimination of Justin Bonomo, who last night finished runner-up to Cary Katz in the 2018 PCA $100,000 Super High Roller, but Jake Cody was kind enough to fill us in on what happened.
As he told it, Bonomo opened for 1,100 with and Adams called. Another player then moved in for 3,500 with what turned out to be , and Bonomo tried to isolate by jamming for roughly 12K total.
Unfortunately for him, Adams had gotten tricky with pocket kings and called. The cowboys held and that was all she wrote for Bonomo in the Main Event.

With the board showing Gavin O'Rourke is first to act. There is already roughly 13,000 in the pot and O'Rourke puts out a bet of 8,000. Seymour drops into the tank as the bet represent a bit less than half of his remaining stack. Seymour thinks for a bit while camera crews begins to surround the table yet again.
Seymour eventually decides to call. O'Rourke shows his for a full house. Seymour lifts his cards as if he's about to show, but upon seeing O'Rourke's card, he tosses them face down into the muck. That allows O'Rourke to take down the pot and bolster his stack while Seymour is left with right around 10,000 chips.

Jake Cody raised to 1,500 from early position and Maximilian Gruenberger called from the hijack.
Lucas Blanco then three-bet to 5,500 from the cutoff only to have Timothy Adams four-bet to 12,500 from the big blind.
Both Cody and Gruenberger got out of the way and Blanco thought long and hard before making the call.
When the flop came down , Adams led out for 7,500 and Blanco, who had the bigger stack, moved all in.
Adams didn't take long to call off for around 35,000 total.
Adams:
Blanco:
Adams was drawing to the flush and two overs, which made him a slight favorite with two cards to come. Unfortunately for him, he was left high and dry after the bricked on the turn followed by the on the river.

Team PokerStars Pro Jeff Gross recently hopped into the field, and in his very first hand things went awry.
Shaun Davis ended up moving all in for 8,400 and Gross called.
Gross:
Davis:
Gross was well out in front, and things look good on the flop. A on the turn meant the only way Gross could lose the pot was for a five to hit the river, and wouldn't you know it, a spiked.
"Bad start to 2018," was all Gross could muster.
Meanwhile, Gross' fellow Team Pro Igor Kurganov just entered the field.
