Pelton Fights Back

Nível 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

Chan Pelton has seen a number of players three-bet his opens in the early going, and he had it happen once again after he raised from under the gun when Nick Yunis made it 1,500 to go. Pelton came with a four-bet to an unknown amount, which Yunis called, and the two saw a {2-Spades}{3-Spades}{6-Clubs} flop. Pelton bet 2,900 and Yunis called. On the {9-Clubs} turn, Pelton moved all in and the dealer couldn't even bring the bet in before Yunis folded.

Pelton has been on a tear on the HPT with three final tables in the past year, including a win.

Sam C Gets a Knockout

Nível 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

A player who identified only as "Sam C." bet 1,500 under the gun on a {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{a-Clubs} flop, and a player in the hijack raised to 3,675. The big blind moved all in for 4,550 and both opponents called. Sam C. checked the {5-Diamonds} turn and then shoved all in over a bet, seeing his opponent fold immediately.

Sam C.: {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}
Big blind: {7-Clubs}{2-Clubs}

Both had flopped flushes but the big blind was drawing dead.

Harrison Pays Yunis After Doubling Up

Nível 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

Corey Harrison doubled up with {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} on a board of {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{7-Spades} against Niall Farrell, but he gave some of that back in the very next hand after he check-called a bet of 2,000 from Nick Yunis on a board of {10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}. Harrison checked again on the {q-Diamonds} river and Yunis bet 6,500. Harrison shook his head but called nonetheless, and Yunis showed {j-Diamonds}{10-Spades} for a boat. Harrison mucked {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs} face-up.

Eischens Wins Another Battle With Farrell

Nível 3 : 75/150, 25 ante

Terrance Eischens, who was Niall Farrell's antagonist in an earlier pot, just went to war with him again after Farrell opened for 400 under the gun and Eischens made it 1,200 on his left. Action folded back to Farrell, who called. The flop came {j-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and Farrell check-called 1,350. He check-called another 4,000 on the {6-Clubs} turn, and a {5-Clubs} made it four to a straight on board. Farrell checked and saw his opponent fire a third bullet of 11,575. Farrell debated for about two minutes before deciding to muck.

Eischens' tablemates asked him to show the bluff but he just smiled and mucked.

Sergio Aido, a Spansih player with over $1.1 million in cashes, just took a seat at the same table.

Yunis Enters, Eliminates One

Nível 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

The first elimination of the tournament just occurred at the hands of Nick Yunis, a well-traveled Chilean player who recently bought in. Yunis had a raise of an unknown amount in front of him on the button, and a player in the big blind moved all in for just 4,600. He proclaimed he was on tilt.

"I think I'm going to fall for it," Yunis said with a laugh, dropping in a call shortly thereafter.

Yunis: {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}
Opponent: {j-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}

The board ran out {2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{k-Spades}{q-Clubs}, so Yunis locked it up on the turn with aces up.
