JC Alvardo Latest One Home
It took two hands to eliminate JC Alvarado. Firstly Alvarado rumbled with Anthony Gregg. It was all in preflop, with Alvarado having Gregg covered by around 100,000. Gregg held and was going up against Alvarado's . The board ran out and Alvardo was left crippled, while Gregg had doubled up to around 4 million.
Just a few moments later and Alvardo was all in for his last few chips holding against Anson Tsang's . Despite hitting a pair on the turn of a board, the river would give Tsang a larger pair than Alvarado as the Mexican poker pro was sent home just a table or so short of making the money.
There are now 19 players remaining.

Rossiter Sends Gus Home
Over here in the main tournament area we just heard that Gus Hansen has been eliminated at the hands of Aussie Jeff Rossiter over on the feature live streaming table.
Hansen was all in preflop for his last 2 million or so and held . Rossiter had Hansen well covered and held . The board wasn't what Hansen needed and so was sent home in a meaningless 19th place.
We are now down to just 18 players with a couple of minutes remaining before the dinner break.

Quick Bust Out Following Dinner
Keith Gipson spent 90 minutes on the dinner break, but only a couple minutes back at the felt before finding the rail. Gipson's short stack went into the hands of Nick Wong. Gipson was all in preflop holding and Wong had him at-risk holding . The board ran out and it was all over for Gipson.
Wong won the GDAM Warm-Up just a couple of days ago and if all goes to plan he will be looking to make it back-to-back titles.

Tobias Toppled, Ike in Charge
We are now down to 16 players, and therefore two tables of eight. The latest player to find the rail was Tobias Reinkemeier. His final hand started when he jammed for 1.7 million from the cutoff. Brian Powell was on the button and made the flat-call. On to Isaac Haxton in the big blind and he would take a few moments before jamming for his monster stack. The action was back on Powell, who has a stack around 10 million. If he called his tournament would be on the line. Powell tanked for quite a while, studying Haxton before letting his hand go. At this point Haxton turned over his .
“Lucky eight,” said Renkemeier as he tabled .
Lucky it was not as a meant that more chips were added to Haxton’s stack and Renkemeier was sent home.
