Deeb Down, But Not Out

Nível 3 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

When we arrived over at Shaun Deeb's table, the poker star was involved in a hand with Hai San Lin. There was already a turn card out on the felt at this point, with the board showing {9-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}. There was well over 100,000 in the pot and Lin bet 110,000. Deeb gave a side glance to the player two spots to his left before making the call, at which point the dealer tabled a {10-Diamonds} on the river. Deeb had around 320,000 and his opponent quickly jammed out 570,000 worth of chips at the sight of the river. Deeb opted to let his hand go and the pot went to Lin.

As Lin scooped up his new chips, he gave the table a solid bang of his fist in enthusiasm, which is somewhat standard of Macau poker players.

Ike Back on Top of Things

Nível 3 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

PokerStars Team Online Isaac Haxton had somewhat of a bad start to the day, but has since found his feet and enough chips to see his stack move back up to just under 1 million.

We recently watched Haxton scoop up a pot on a {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} board, with Haxton tank-calling a river bet of 105,000 from Tom Hu. When Hu turned over {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for a whole lot of nothing, Haxton tabled his {k-Clubs}{k-Spades} and picked up some more chips.

Big Face Up River Fold for Cheong

Nível 3 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Joseph Cheong and Isaac Haxton have had a friendly rivalry for much of the day and that continued during a recent hand. We arrived at the action on the river of a {4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Clubs} board and Haxton had jammed for his remaining 559,000. That amount was well over a pot-sized bet and Cheong went deep into the tank.

Eventually Cheong gave a loud sort of sigh and slammed down his {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs} face up to send the pot to Haxton.

Cheong is still crushing on well over 2 million, while for pretty much the first time today Haxton is up over the starting stack.

Hansen Taking Watson's Chips

Nível 3 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Gus Hansen and Mike Watson have just played out a hand over on their table, the result of which sees Watson down to just 330,000 in chips.

We arrived at the action with a turn card being dealt on the {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades}{9-Diamonds} board and with Hansen betting 101,000 into a pot of around 200,000. Watson tanked before calling and the dealer flipped over a {5-Spades} river.

Hansen didn't hesitate here, making it 211,000 to go. Watson had around 330,000 behind at this point and didn't look too excited as he opted to let his cards go and send the pot to Hansen.
