Three Double Ups

Nível 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Towards the end of level 18, three double ups occurred. Milan Sasek dropped some chips after Reto Timucin Locher doubled up for 56,000 with {A-Spades} {5-Clubs} versus the Czech's {A-Diamonds} {2-Clubs} on a board of {2-Spades} {8-Spades} {5-Spades} {Q-Clubs} {K-Clubs}.

Then, Omar Lakhdari lost 67,000 chips with {A-Clubs} {7-Clubs} against the {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Spades} of Evgenii Starikov with the board running out {K-Spades} {4-Hearts} {J-Hearts} {8-Hearts} {2-Spades}.

In the very last hand of the level, Andy Seth three-bet shoved for 118,000 with {A-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} and was in bad shape against the {A-Clubs} {K-Hearts} of Georgios Sotiropoulos. However, the dealer came to the rescue on the river of a {5-Clubs} {2-Hearts} {5-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} {J-Hearts} board.

Piotr Pietrzak busts in Three-Way All In

Nível 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

After a raise to 12,000, Piotr Pietrzak moved all in for 78,000 chips and Domenico Drammis moved all in over the top for 118,000 out of the small blind in the last hand of level 18. Initial raiser Alexander Roumeliotis, who had just won a big pot, called and had both players at risk with {A-Diamonds} {K-Spades}.

Pietrzak had {8-Hearts} {8-Spades} and Drammis turned over {J-Hearts} {J-Spades}. The Italian almost tripled up on a board of {6-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} {Q-Hearts} {2-Spades} {9-Spades} and Pietrzak was sent to the rail.

Raul van Boxtel Eliminated

Nível 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Raul van Boxtel had been short for some time and was looking for a comeback. It wasn't meant to be, or at least it didn't turn out any good for the Dutchman.

We ran into Van Boxtel on his way to the pay out desk and he told us the story of his bust out. The button limped and from the small blind Van Boxtel completed. The big blind checked his option and all three of them checked the {K-}{Q-}{9-} flop as well.

The {4-} on the turn made Van Boxtel bet out 6,000. The big blind folded but the button made the call.

The river brought an {8-} and gave Van Boxtel two pair with his {8-}{9-}. He shoved all in for the remaining 50,000 he had, and got snap called. The button had flopped a straight with {J-}{10-} and Van Boxtel had to head to the exit.

Kitai Over One Million

Nível 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

We arrived at the table just as Pascal Rabany raised from the hijack and called a three bet from Davidi Kitai in the cut off.

Both players watched the flop come down {k-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} before Rabany checked. Kitai reached for his chips and bet out 28,000. Rabany thought about his decision before making the call.

On the {7-Spades} turn, Rabany checked. A few minutes passed before Kitai looked over at his opponent to see what was going on. He missed that Rabany had checked, and smiled, before checking behind.

The {3-Hearts} completed the board and Rabany checked once more. Kitai the slid out 88,000 in chips and a minute later he was called.

Kitai then tabled his {a-Spades}{k-Spades} for a full house which was the winning hand when Rabany tossed his cards into the muck.

Gabi Livshitz Eliminated

Nível 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Gabi Livshitz

The very talkative Gabi Livshitz has been eliminated from the tournament. Livshitz, who finished runner up to Mike Neuens in the €300 EUREKA Prague Cup for €44,560 earlier this week, was knocked out by his neighbor Jonathan Wong.

Livshitz got it in with {K-Hearts}{9-Hearts} on {A-Hearts}{7-Spades}{J-Hearts} but was up against the just about the worst hand possible as Wong had {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}. The {3-Diamonds} on the turn and {9-Spades} on the river didn't make Livshitz's flush and he hit the rail soon after in 81st place (€11,920).

Kitai Felts Duda To Regain Lead

Nível 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Davidi Kitai moved all in on the river of a board reading {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{6-Hearts}.

Antonin Duda was the man facing a decision for his tournament life. There was over 200,000 in the pot and that’s just about what Duda had left. He thought long and hard before making the call.

Kitai showed the {k-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for a flopped flush. Duda had hit on the end and showed his {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} before being escorted to the pay-out desk.

Olivier Busquet's Elimination Makes Simon Mattsson a Millionaire

Nível 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Olivier Busquet
Olivier Busquet

Olivier Busquet opened to 20,000 from early position. A couple positions down sat the Swede Simon Mattsson who made it 55,000 from the cut off. The button and both blinds got out of the way and the decision was back on Busquet.

Busquet, who's last two cashes were wins (EPT Barcelona's Super High Roller in August for €896,434 and UKIPT's High Roller in October for £107,300) moved all in. We couldn't exactly count how much he shoved for, but it looked like well over 300,000. Mattsson asked how much it was roughly, soemthing we didn't catch unfortunately, and then called.

Simon Mattsson showed {A-Spades}{K-Hearts} after Busquet tabled {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}.

The {K-Clubs} in the window meant bad news for Busquet, and the {9-Diamonds} and {4-Diamonds} that accompanied the king on the flop didn't turn that around. The {10-Hearts} on the turn and {6-Spades} on the river were blanks and Busquet was heading for the exit.
