Hand 7 - Bielskis Unlucky to Hit the River

Nível 28 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Hand 7: Andrius Bielskis found {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} in the small blind. With his 2.2 million stack he limped in. Dany Parlafes in the big blind had {J-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and he checked his option.

The flop came {8-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{J-Spades}, favoriting Parlafes. Bielskis fired 85,000 and Parlafes raised to 225,000 with his top pair. Bielskis made the call to grow the pot to 660,000.

The {J-Diamonds} on the turn made Bielskis drawing dead. The Lithuanian checked and Parlafes bet 250,000. Bielskis didn't believe his neighbor and made the call.

The {Q-Spades} on the river spelled doom for Bielskis. Bielskis, with 1.6 million behind at this time, checked. Parlafes bet 425,000 into 1,160,000 and Bielskis instantly called. He soon got the bad news.

Parlafes with half the chips in play, Bielskis with a below 20 big blind stack now the shorty.

Hands 5-6: Parlafes Cracks Eight Million

Nível 28 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Hand 5: Dany Parlafes looked down at {A-Spades}{x-} in the cutoff and he raised to 125,000. It folded over to Benjamin Pollak who held {A-Clubs}{9-Hearts} in the big blind. Pollak called and the two took a flop.

The dealer fanned {Q-Spades}{J-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and the action went check-check. The {10-Hearts} fell on fourth street, prompting Pollak to bet 155,000. Parlafes let it go and Pollak took down the pot.

Hand 6: Parlafes held {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} under the gun and he opened to 125,000. Andrius Bielskis was in the big blind and he defended with {A-Spades}{6-Spades}. The flop was {4-Hearts}{8-Spades}{5-Spades} and Bielskis checked to the raiser. Parlafes continued for 150,000 only to see Bielskis slide out a check-raise to 395,000. Parlafes called to see fourth street.

The {Q-Diamonds} fell on the turn, prompting Bielskis to move out a bet of 560,000. Parlafes would not be swayed as he dropped out a call once more. The river bricked out with the {2-Hearts} and action went check-check. Parlafes showed his sevens and took down the sizable pot.

Parlafes now has cracked the eight-million chip mark with 8.47 million while Bielskis' stack has fallen to 2.185 million.

Hands 2 - 4: Flopped Two Pair No Good for Dimov

Nível 28 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Hand 2: Dimov opened under the gun to 185,000 with {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}. Bielskis in the small blind folded his {A-Spades}{4-Spades}, Dany Parlafes didn't even hesitate folding his big blind. The second hand of the day went to Dimov.

Hand 3: Action folded to Bielskis on the button. The Lithuanian opened to 185,000 with {K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}. Dimov in the big blind made the call tossing in a plaque with {5-Spades}{4-Diamonds}.

{4-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} on the flop and Dimov check called a bet of 145,000 with his two pair. The {K-Spades} on the turn looked like a bad card for Bielskis to hit, but he checked behind as soon as he got the chance. It turned out not to be too horrific to hit the king on the turn; the {K-Hearts} on the river giving him trips. Dimov checked again. Bielskis bet 305,000 into 620,000 and Dimov mucked his flopped two pair just as easily.

Hand 4: Dimov had {J-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} in the small blind and completed. Buhr in the big blind checked his option holding {4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}. The flop came {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{9-Spades} and both players checked,. The {3-Clubs} on the turn made Dimov check again. Buhr now bet 80,000 with his wheel draw and Dimov folded.

Who Can Stop Dany Parlafes?

Dany Parlafes
Dany Parlafes

"It's the year of Romania" said Dany Parlafes multiple times yesterday. Even before he was the biggest stack in the house, he was foreseeing a good future for his country. He's in a great position to start that year off greatly poker wise, as he has 44 percent of the chips in play with just six players remaining in the PokerStars.fr EPT Deauville Main Event.

With 126 big blinds, he has twice the amount of chips of any one else on the final table. But it's not a lock just yet, there are five hungry competitors all eying that €543,700 first prize as well. If not Romania, than France has the biggest chance. Not only half the players are from there, with Benjamin Buhr they have the number two in chips and with Benjamin Pollak they have the most experienced player. And what about Joseph Carlino? The singing, taekwondo chopping Frenchman would be without a doubt the most flamboyant EPT champion of all 11 seasons. Or it might just become the year of Bulgaria (Ognyan Dimov) or Lituania (Andrius Bielskis), don't overlook these solid players either.

There will be enough rail fun this afternoon, so much is clear. There will be drama, there will be suck outs, and there will be singing most likely. PokerNews.com will be there to report on it all. All indeed, as we'll be doing hand for hand coverage so you won't have to miss a thing. Play starts at noon, but coverage will start an hour later, so we can include hole card information from the live stream and won't spoiler you if you're keeping track of both the stream and the live reporting blog.

There are 19 minutes left in level 28, with blinds at 30,000/60,000 with a 10,000 ante. Stay tuned, reporting starts in 3 hours from now!
