"Fantastic Shove" from Mavritsakis
Panagiotis Mavritsakis opened to 7,000 from the hijack and was called by Laurent Polito from the cutoff. Daniel Merlante three-bet to 26,000 from the button, which sent Mavritsakis into the tank. Polito called the clock and as the count began, Mavritsakis moved all in for 116,000. Polito folded but Merlante asked for a count before calling as the slightly bigger stack.

Merlante had Mavritsakis crushed but the latter picked up on a flush draw on the J♣9♠8♣ flop. The 10♣ turn left Merlante stunned as Mavritsakis sealed the checkmark with his flush. The 8♥ completed the board for Mavritsakis to get a surprising double up.
